Plus Size Tabi Socks
Also called “split-toe socks”, tabi socks have been worn in Japan since the sixteenth century, reaching their peak during the Edo period (1600-1868). Developed to wear with sandals & wooden clogs called geta, they have a separate section for the big toe, allowing sandals to be worn more easily.
Like toe socks, tabi fit just as comfortably into closed-toe shoes. Plus size tabi socks are a good option for folks who want the benefits of toe socks, but cannot or do not want to deal with individual toe pockets.
