Boldly patterned red and black socks bear the abstracted image of a “fireman,” who holds up an open book, with the phrase, “It was a pleasure to burn” inscribed above. Flames and loose pages create a blazing inferno in your shoe, while the title “Fahrenheit 451” appears just above the heel.
Inspired by Ray Bradbury’s classic sci-fi novel about censorship and book burning, Fahrenheit 451 ( named for the temperature at which paper burns) is a classic example of dystopian literature. We hope you’ll forgive the triple entendre when we say these socks are “lit”.
Small: Label says sock size 9-11. We found they fit a US women's shoe size 7-10 (men's 5.5-9), they'll be loose on feet smaller than a US women's 7.
Large: Label says sock size 10-13. We found they fit a US men's shoe size 8.5-12 (women's 10+).
