Fall is here, and a lot of sports are in full swing. If you feel like donning your team’s colors, socks can be a great way to spice up an outfit. You can rock them loud and proud on game day, or slide them subtly into your daily rotation, whatever you prefer!

Right now, we’re suiting up to root for our local teams, including Portland’s own women’s soccer team, the Thorns, who attended the championships this weekend—and made history in the process as the first National Women's Soccer League team to do so for a third time.

There are a lot of red and black options for supporting this team, which will also work for our local basketball team, the Portland Trail Blazers. The Team Spirit Socks were designed with many local teams in mind, and we also see these colors in the Striped Tights.

Two images side by side. On the left, a model is facing away from the camera, shot from the calves down, wearing red crew socks with a medium back stripe in black, matching the cuff and toe. The stripe itself flares up in triangles that bracket two shorter and wider white stripes, creating a very strong graphic look to the heel. On the right, a model is shot from above from the waist down, wearing a black skirt and red and black striped tights.

Or if you really want to capture the Thorn's red, green, and black color scheme, we recommend the Dreamy Tube Socks in the Over the Knee and Knee High lengths.

On the left, a model is shot from the hips down, facing the camera, wearing olive green thigh highs with stripes at the top: three black stripes above and below a thick red stripe that hits just above the knee, with olive green in between. On the right, a model is wearing matching olive knee highs, with two black stripes surrounding a thick red stripe near the cuff, with green between. Model is posing to the side, one leg up, with a bridge in the background.

Speaking of soccer, the Portland Timbers are a beloved team in this area, and our Retro Sports Socks and Team Spirit Socks capture their yellow, green, and white color scheme. And bonus: these socks also work for the Ducks, one of our college teams, from the University of Oregon down in Eugene.

Another one of our college teams is the Beavers, from Oregon State University in Corvallis. Their colors are orange and black, and we’ve got a lot of options for them, including the Team Spirit Socks and the Noir Knees.

Looking a little further north, the Seattle Seahawks can be represented by our Extraordinary Bright stripes in Royal/Neon Green. These socks also come in other popular team colors, such as Purple/Gold and the discontinued Royal/Orange.

Socks can be one little way to make game day more special, and it’s pretty easy to dial in on your team’s colors through our search page. If you know what length of socks you want, you can start there, or click on Shop All to search our entire catalog. Then, you can use the filters on the left to select the primary color, narrow down patterns, etc.

If you can’t find the perfect combo, you can always try mixing and matching. Our Cotton Slouch Socks come in a lot of solid colors, and if you buy a pair of each color that you need, you can also outfit a friend in all your team’s glory.
