I am especially fond of the use of the buttoned sock garters for eyes! and the dreamy tail & baby sock for its beak, nicely done! Thanks Kat!!!

The above photo, submitted by Sock Dreams Fan Jessica on Facebook inspired a contest to celebrate our new high of 4000+ fans on Facebook…
If you are on Facebook and aren’t already a fan head on over and become a fan.
All fans are welcome & encouraged to submit images of your Sock Dreams heavy Sock Collections for a chance to win something fun chosen by me and several of my closest friends & family here at SDHQ. No, the socks themselves do not have to be heavy, but your collection should be heavy on socks you got from us. Creativity & quality and that certain something that makes us smile is what we’re looking for, they don’t have to be studio quality or fancy or anything, but they should be in focus and without unnecessary clutter in the background, why, we’ll even consider shots that aren’t actually a collection, though that is the goal this time.
We’ve chosen this first shot as a winner and are seeking three more by Friday…
We’ll announce our winners this weekend!
Good luck and may the socks be with you.
~~niq (((xoxo)))

Go Forward into the night
Bravely
Boldly
Beautifully
Don’t look back
you’ll only see us waving and crying.
Remember us as we remember you
Brave
Bold
Beautiful
Gone into the night
Like the wind passing by us in a storm.

…just yesterday Mr Natosi & I argued over whether or not it is cool to send candy to strangers. I’m not saying I don’t think it’s a great idea and I know some do it and it is received with extreme glee, it just isn’t a liability I want to take on, so instead I am offering you, our beloved Sock lovers, friends, family & fans a chance to get these
~ ::((( tasty handmade hand warmers )))::~
of which we have only a small and limited supply of…

Our party was a great success, crowded and totally fun!
I have a ton of pictures to edit and a full day ahead with no time to do it so I’ll add and/or link more images in the next day or so. We had a stilt walker, a banjo player who improvised sock songs quite impressively (wish we’d been recording that!) and the winning costume was an amazing Marie Antoinette
(sorry, I didn’t get a shot of her socks)…

If you missed this one plan ahead for next year…
it will be our 10 year sock anniversary!!!

I’m wearing my comfy old pair of Sweet Pea Dreamy knees
(now in slightly different shades of purple) as I prepare to take off for a few days with my mom to see our family down in sunny southern California.
We should *finally* really (no REALLY) be ready to let you all start testing the new site when I return at the end of the week. Dan & Olivia have worked out the last of the issues, bugs and niggly bits that we were able to find on our own. New sites always take longer than you think, much longer…
