after a few weeks of holiday related discombobulation I am back to taking and editing pictures of new socks and trying them myself as I go. In the early days nearly all the pictures were me, now I get a little help and we take most of the pictures on our coworkers here at Sock Dreams. I still try almost everything and like to use some of the images I take of stuff on myself for the first person effect.

Here I am in the Mieko Bamboo socks from B.ella. I love the bamboo pattern on these and they are super soft, only thing I don’t like about them is the threads around the pattern come up a lot, washing inside out is usually the best way to avoid this from happening with any sock that has a woven pattern, but apparently I usually forget. You can really only see the fraying from up close
…and they haven’t developed any real holes.
The leggings are new from Foot Traffic and are just about my favorite leggings, though it has been a bit too chilly to show them off much yet. They are microfiber and silky smooth. The pattern goes really well with Victorian related fashions and though the bronze is not as bronzey as I’d like, it is a great brown that totally works if you are going for a Steampunk flair. These also come in plum, with feet and without. The size range is 5′ – 5′8″ 100 – 160 lbs…
we found them to be perfect within the range, but don’t trust the microfiber beyond that as it tends to ladder when overstretched.

My Sock Spots

So many people were nice enough to show us their sock collections
that I felt it only fair to share some of mine.

This is where I keep most of what I wear day to day with some of my favorite socks and most of my tights out where I can easily see them because I have too many to keep track of and might forget about some of them otherwise. Along the bottom are bins for OTKs (left) knee highs (center) and toesocks & tabis (right).

In the closet by the bed are all my favorite comfy socks
O Dreamies, Super Dreamies and their Marled counterparts…

It’s true that we are out of most of these right now,
but they are my very favorites, ever, and we will get more!!!

Charlotte posts a lot of fun pictures of her favorite socks, so even though this is not a collection of socks in itself, it is a nice little collection of cats. And folks, if you haven’t grabbed a pair of these Chat Noirs from Sock It To Me you better do it soon because when we run out we can’t get more til SITM restocks, and that may not be til March!
