<p align="center"><strong><font color="#ff00ff" face="Bookman Old Style"><em>The Cronert Cotton Overknee are an excellent <a href="http://coxscorner.tripod.com/gans.html" target="_blank" title="put up yer dukes!">light weight</a> OTK in rich deep <a href="http://www.reiki-for-holistic-health.com/auracolormeanings.html" target="_blank" title="I feel purple...">colors</a>. In my dreams (my sock dreams that is), I have always wanted a pair of basic black OTK in a lighter thin knit, with no <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BuX0eTjJRk" target="_blank" title="reminds me of Davy Jones">shine</a>, soft flat matte or brushed texture, that of course would fit my feet and go well over my knees. I once had a pair (way back when) that was PERFECT and fit my specifications to a <a href="http://www.treehugger.com/design_architecture/cool_but_ugly/" target="_blank" title="Mr.... that is.">&#8220;T&#8221;. </a>Then for years I could not find any.</em></font></strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong><font color="#ff00ff" face="Bookman Old Style"><em>When I first sought out our sock <a href="http://iamgoddess.blogspot.com/" target="_blank" title="Hear me roar...">Goddess</a>, this dream sock was what I was looking for. She led me to the <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_227.php" target="_blank" title="Still a favorite!">E.G. Smith Solid Over the Knee Stockings</a>, Though close enough to my dream to become a sock wardrobe staple for me, they still left a little to be desired in size and length. I&#8217;m <a href="http://www.utilitarianism.com/happy-pig.jpg" target="_blank" title="now's thats contentment">happy</a> to say that these <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_882.php" target="_blank" title="The colors are so rich and yummy!">Cronerts </a>(though pricier than the EG Smiths) do come just a bit closer to my dream size wise, and texture wise these have a lovely almost brushed texture, but do have a little <a href="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1207330008385882977&amp;q=sunshine+john+denver&amp;total=46&amp;start=0&amp;num=10&amp;so=0&amp;type=search&amp;plindex=0" target="_blank" title="sun-shine">shine</a> when pulled taught over a larger calf.</em></font></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><font color="#ff00ff" face="Bookman Old Style"><em>From previous experience with the <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/product_detail_ProductID_876.php" target="_blank" title="Cutest little sockies ever!">Cronert spring striped anklets</a>, I had anticipated these to be much <a href="http://letsbefriends.blogspot.com/" target="_blank" title="awwwwwwwwwwwww....">friendlier</a> to the larger footed. Though slightly more forgiving than the <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_227.php" target="_blank" title="I've always wanted to try the seamed ones..">EG Smith&#8217;s</a>, these still come out a bit snug on my toes when the heel is properly lined up (and surprisingly, the larges don&#8217;t seem to me to be significantly larger in the feet than the small, but they do seem slightly longer in length). And although they do make it over my knee, it is not by much, yet still a smidgeon more than the EG&#8217;s. If I had to choose between the two, I think I would choose the Cronerts for size and the Smiths for price. But luckily, here at <a href="http://www.wweek.com/wwire/?p=7334" target="_blank" title="hey an interview with the goddess herself!">SD</a> I can have a pair (or three) of each :O)</em></font></strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_882.php" title="The brushed softness of these is nearly as cuddly as Vel!!" target="_blank"></a><strong><a target="_blank"> </a></strong></p>

<p align="center"><strong><font color="#ff00ff" face="Bookman Old Style"><em>The <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_882.php" target="_blank" title="The flat knit is so sleek and very flattering!">Cronert Cotton Overknees</a> stay up mostly well, though they are prone to do that <a href="http://www.rolledstockings.com/" target="_blank" title="The 20's look so fun...">rolly thingy</a>. If you have enough length you can try folding over a cuff on top as that seems to help them not roll, but if (like me) you don&#8217;t have enough over the knee length to do that, I recommend a <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/accessories_cat_CategoryID_74.php" target="_blank" title="I MUST have the ankh garters!!!!">garter</a> to keep them perfectly where you want em.</em></font></strong></p>
<p align="center"><strong><em><font color="#ff00ff" face="Bookman Old Style">All in all, I&#8217;d recommend these to anyone <a href="http://www.overheardinnewyork.com/" target="_blank" title="the walls have ears">who&#8217;s listening</a>&#8230; I&#8217;m pretty smitten with <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_882.php" target="_blank" title="I must get the olive ones next!">these</a>.. and although I am truly enjoying them now in this nasty summer weather, I think I may just end up loving them even more in the cooler fall and <a href="http://www.irtc.org/ftp/pub/stills/2006-02-28/snowman.jpg" target="_blank" title="oh frosty...">winter weather</a>.</font></em> </strong></p>

Tucked into my last order was this pair of little pink striped socks (The Spring Striped Anklets in light rose and white). <p align="center"><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia">Tucked into my last order was this pair of little pink striped socks (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/latest_product_detail_ProductID_876.php" title="get them for yourself here!">The Spring Striped Anklets</a> in light rose and white). Now, I know you all think I live in a pink flat with a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.beloblog.com/KHOU_Animal_Attraction/animalattraction/pinkpoodle-thumb.jpg" title="yes... a pink poodle :O)">pink tinted dog</a> and wear lots of pink things&#8230;. Yes, I love pink&#8230; yes, it is my favorite color, and yes my bedroom is shocking pink on pink on pink. But no&#8230; I really don&#8217;t wear pink everyday&#8230; mostly it&#8217;s worn at home in my lounge about clothes (which tend to be way more frou-frou than anything I&#8217;d <a target="_blank" href="http://www.usatoday.com/life/gallery/beatles/offplane.jpg" title="yeah yeah yeah">greet the public</a> in&#8230; think vintage slips, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/accessories_cat_CategoryID_95.php" title="fun girlie petticoats!">crinolines</a>, etc.) or the occaisional &#8216;can&#8217;t help myself they are so cute&#8217; pink or pink <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_126.php" title="YAY MStripes!!!">striped OTK socks</a> (the dark red and fuchsia Mstripes&#8230; mmmm).  And, as some of you know, I&#8217;ve only started to brave the outdoors in my pinks after our sock goddess used her powers on me and got me to start thinking out of the box (as I&#8217;ve always pretty much been a black on black, with a little olive&#8230; dresser). Even <a target="_blank" href="http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/7716/grammykissesvelrq3.jpg" title="Mom gives kisses to Granddog Vel.. too cute!">my mom</a> was nearly<a target="_blank" href="http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2005/fainting-goats-p1.php" title="This is one of those things you feel a bit guilty laughing about, yet you can't seem to help it"> fainting</a> on her last visit here when she saw that there is now some color in my closet. And on her next visit now she&#8217;ll surely see <a target="_blank" href="https://store.muttscomics.com/images/product/medium/128.jpg" title="another sock addict">little pink socks</a> and more.</font></strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia">Anyway&#8230; back to these particular <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/latest_product_detail_ProductID_876.php" title="another chance for you to get your own here..">pretty little pink socks</a>. <em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia"><br />
Sweet is the best word I can think of to describe them&#8230; sweet in a cute&#8230; cotton candy, flirty skirt, point your toes, put on a pair of those little white lace up sneakers and come ride the merry-go-round sort of way.  I think they&#8217;d look adorable with a pair of <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/accessories_detail_ProductID_676.php" title="I dream of these in a larger size">black capri length leggings</a> and ballet flats too. </font></strong></em></font></strong></em><em></em><em><strong></strong></em><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia"></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia">In the eighties, a friend of mine used to wear lots of little socks like these with lacey white stockings, pink or white stilleto heels and form fitted pink suits and dresses. Anklets look so sweet with pumps, I&#8217;m nice to see the look being worn again.</font></strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia">That wonderful &#8216;innocent yet sexy&#8217; thing&#8230; still works.</font></strong></em></p>
<p align="center"> <em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia"> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/latest_product_detail_ProductID_876.php"><img width="347" src="http://www.sockdreams.com/weblog/wp-content/uploaded_images/2007/04/aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.JPG" alt="Dreamy soft little stripes" height="465" style="width: 347px; height: 465px" /></a></font></strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia">Personally, I think I will get the most use from mine indoors as comfy lounging socks. Cronert gets a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.playfair.com/standingO/standingO.htm" title="Woooohoooooo!!!">standing ovation</a> from me for giving this girl some toe wiggle room for my size 11&#8217;s (these fit perfectly, though those with thicker ankles/large heels might have <a target="_blank" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUx5z9O2ZGk" title="I love squeeze.">a little squeeze</a> from the cuff to get these over the heel). </font></strong></em></p>
<p align="center"><em><strong><font color="#ff99ff" face="georgia">I have not a peep of critiscsim for the way <a target="_blank" href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/latest_product_detail_ProductID_876.php" title="Grab a pair here.">these delicious little striped treats</a> feel fit and look on me &#8230; and I think that the black and white ones may just be begging to come home to <a target="_blank" href="http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/2964/velgoupsf0.jpg" title="Vel's stairway to bed :O)">my pink room</a>.</font></strong></em></p>

Some adore this day, some abhor it, some are indifferent&#8230;<br />
I&#8217;m generally rather indifferent, but for some reason I feel more like celebrating this year, perhaps it&#8217;s because <a href="http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_818.php">these socks</a> inspire so much love for fuzzy hearts, or perhaps it is because I am so inspired by the ones I love. So to all of you, regardless of how you feel about this day, find something to feel warm and fuzzy about, even if just for a moment, even if it is just the yummy socks hugging your toes and enjoy that moment. Because love, laughter and comfy socks will get you through almost anything and will make the best of days even better!</p>
