the black & gold fishnets are a sneak peak at the Betsey Johnson Metallic Magic Fishnet Shorties. Our full order just arrived today and will be live shortly…
The shoes? I found those on Etsy, hand painted by Hippy of Doom.
Lovely, I absolutely adore them, especially with these socks.
Oh, how I adore Betsey Johnson and her sexy styles!!!

When Raubynn & I went to Seattle last month I brought these along with way too many others, if only we’d had a whole week for taking pictures! these were my fav’s, the fishnet capris were just stunning! oh, and wait til you see the Grrr Fishnets!
They are subtle and were tricky to get a decent shot of. I loved how they looked and fit, really nice fishnet that felt great on and the pattern was evenly printed all over without gaps, overlaps or mismatches.

Lace & bows ~ thighs & toes

…Or, the long & short of the new lace thigh highs, restocked & reviewed.

The picture on the package is gorgeous, it shows a matching top and panty which are not included nor do we plan to get them at this time. Pity, I know, but we don’t want to get into the fit & return issues they would incur and the stockings are just so pretty we had to try them! Straight out of the package they look rather large, but that is because of the lace, it is a stretchy lace sewn into a stocking and came nearly up to the tops of my little 30 inch legs. They fit nicely and stayed up fine, they were just too long for me to wear and still be able to show off their cute ribboned tops so onto the sewing machine they went. Yes, it is a good sturdy lace, won’t snag easily…

and can certainly handle a new seam along the toes.
I think it would be best to do this on a serger, but knowing most of you don’t have one I did a simple zig zag stitch (in pink & purple) and cut off the extra length…

When pulled up they appear to fit even in the thinner areas like above my heels, but when I loosened them you can see how there can be a little slack at the knees

Pull them up and they are all better and are sooo pretty I cannot resist them…
As for the fit at the tops, not only can you tighten that ribbon to fit the skinniest of thighs, the stretch actually fit our larger thighs, without a bulge(!!!) and we feel 23 inches around should be no problem with these.

Ever had a pair of socks you wanted so bad, but kept telling yourself you’d get them soon when you had more money? I’ve been wanting these since I first saw them last year. I’ve been telling myself I’d add them to my next order ever since. Well, I finally did it and really should have much sooner. They fit so well and look so pretty! They are very stretchy, no saggy bits on the thinner curves, no winding around your feet inside the shoes. You could wear them with nearly anything and they’d make a super texturizing layer over a pair of something else. The mesh is finer at the toes and my toes never felt smooshed in them. I was able to pull them over my knees, but I think they are better off as knee highs, though they should be knee high even on legs longer & larger than mine. We’ve got three patterns (1, 2, 3) in black & ivory and are selling them for only $8 a pair, I think they are a good value and an excellent addition to warmer weather leggy attire!

I adore fishnets but am kinda picky about the amount of cling factor. For years I’d only purchased fishnets from dance wear manufacturers (I like theÂ resilient materials they useÂ and the super elasticity of them). The problem I find with some “regular” maker nets is that there just isn’t enough return stretch and there end up being spaces where the nets don’t cling (like behind the ankles and knees). I am pleased to say that the Stay up Fishnets with Woven Satin RibbonsÂ have just enough cling to hug every curve and stay there, and yet not so much of a tight gripÂ that your legs look like a ham when you take them off (thanks to Babylon for that comparison… it was you right?). Though I must mention that the stay up top bandÂ is quite snug (but not painful) on larger leggies, and there may be a little thigh denty thingy. They stayed up great, and only had a small amount of top roll down every once in a while.

The shiny wide satin ribbon threads through pretty circle cut outs near the top of the stocking… andÂ the ribbons are long enough to decadently trail down your leg in a loose bow.

I love these on bare legs, and adored them with my Dark Red & Fuchsia Mstripes as well. The look that ended up being my fav was with the Mstripes and Nets sort of lazily bunched over the knee, ribbon hanging down a bit too loose and sloppy … Â though really pretty in a “I’m a mess but still cute as heck” sort of way, and I just looooove things that can do that.
