Stick Out Your Feet!

Taking notes on socks
As professional sock dreamers we get a lot of special requests and a fair amount of people write us with brilliant sock ideas they’d like to see come true.
Many months ago I got such a letter from a nice young man named Ken who showed me what I thought was a pretty smart idea with a back to school theme. I asked him to let me know when they were in production and ready to order…

As has often been the case with me in the past I was a bit overwhelmed with my many sock-related doings when he wrote me a few months later and wasn’t sure I wanted to take on three adorable little designs so I said not now, but probably later (famous last words I know)…
I'd like my socks rare please
But this was too good of an idea to go away and while Ken has been creating ever more designs & spreading the word about his cool socks he was noticed by our very own Mr Natosi (AKA Bsti) who showed everyone at work in my absence (I was running errands with and for my folks that day), they were all in awe of these brilliant little socks and when I walked in that afternoon one person after another was quick to ask if I’d seen the new socks, did Bsti show you the socks he found? what do you think of those crazy socks? Often one to be skeptical of so much enthusiasm I approached a monitor, show me these socks I said… Guts, cigarettes, red meat and wood! this has gotten good. I recognized some of the socks and realized this was meant to be, a great and growing line of unique US made socks. I put Dara on the task of contacting Ashi Dashi and working out the details and in short time we had our samples.
Every bit as impressed with the real thing as we were with the pictures we carefully chose our first batch and got our pictures done. They were, without a doubt, some of the most fun shots we’ve done lately.
So we hope you all enjoy these as much as we do,
they fit great and you can feel good about wearing them.
But be warned, like so many things here at Sock Dreams…
kick-the-habit-3
these socks may be addictive.

I saw these new socks this weekend and appreciated all the creative shots! I’d love to see a two-pack of the pencil and paper socks put together. My SO writes and was intrigued by those two as well!

I need to get the cig socks for my smokin’ SO. Nasty habit, but very cute socks!

  3. Meg Says:

I used to have a pair of socks that were matchsticks. That would go great with the cig socks.

These are kinda cool although the guts and the meat freak me out. I only use this sight because I am addicted to knee-high socks. My favorite is wearing them over my favorite pair of leggings.

You know what I would like to see?

Doctor Suess socks. Maybe ones that looked like the old crooked trees in his books, or ones that looked like Sneetches. Maybe, just maybe, you could do one with The Cat In The Hat on it. That would be great. As long as priced under fifty dollars, I would buy those in a heartbeat!

Those would be super sweet to see! not sure if the widow Seuss would even give up the licensing rights on that, it is definitely something to think about…

…speaking of licensing, Meg: we passed your request and image on to Ken who said he wondered who held the license on those and he is definitely interested, they just have to get in line and wait their turn as he is busily working on several designs right now.

Hey! That’s cool! Thanks Niqkita. Btw, I just got my latest delivery. I love my new socks. Pencil feet…woo hoo : )

Also, the color on the MP dots with striped cuff anklets is beautiful, and the tie dyed arm warmers are dreamy!

I just wanted to leave a comment that I’m really thrilled you are using plus size models in your shop. They are very sexy and give me a realistic idea of how your products will fit.

    Keep up the great work!
