Super Ruched

This is India, she is leaving us for Las Vegas later this week to be with the one she loves. The Simply adjustable Sock Garters shown on her in the previous post were her idea, we had a damaged pair of the traditionals in our unsellable returns box and her socks weren’t staying up. She not only solved her own problem but she solved one we’ve had for ages because our ability to get the buttoned garters has been sporadic at best and these are even simpler, no buttoning required (and you could still adorn them if you wanted). She will be greatly missed by all of us for her hard work, creativity and great taste in leg wear. The boots? I found those at a little boutique in Seattle called Diva Dollz, the brand is Miz Mooz, don’t know the model name though.

This is Flaura, shop helper, ad designer and maker of cute stockings that we only sell in our store. She had another idea for how to wear the new garters with the new Super Ruched socks and I thought it was super cute too.

Our Operations Manager Dara shows us here how the feet are thicker than the rest of the sock. We had actually chosen a thicker version of these to be made, or so we thought. When the slightly sheerer version arrived we decided it was probably a good thing because these are really light weight, perfect for warmer weather. Not so sheer that they snag easily, but as you can see in the first images, they will not hide tattoos (yes, that is a pomegranate, hence the name of the red ones). They could totally be worn over tights in cooler weather, over fishnets could look really neat too. And since these were made just for us you won’t be finding them anywhere else anytime soon.
Okay, I’m sure I am forgetting several things I wanted to say about these
so ask away and we’ll do our best to provide answers…

thought you might all be interested… I got these all the way up my leg. All the way to the hip joint. Serious stretch in these. At it’s widest point, my thigh is about 30inches.
Not going to lie, it was tough and there was a bit of pinching getting them up but once i got them up it was ok. Didn’t wear them long so I’m not sure how comfy they’d be long term, but they do have quite a lot of stretch. :)

I NEED THESE! Alas, I don’t have a credit card, live on the other side of the country, and my family would never buy 100 inch socks, even as a gift DX

SockDreams takes PayPal and mail-in payments! Those socks *can* be yours!
(You could also purchase a plane ticket to Portland and see us in the store, but I think a mailed-in payment is easier ….)

Can anyone tell me how they feel–more like pantyhose or cotton. Do you think they would run?

ok yall who have gotten these – how do you love them??? i am wanting lusting after the black – of course – but do they sag….???….or does one rouche them as one likes and they kinda stay>>> or do they sag off the feet? they look like they stay on the feet reasonably well with the thicker foot but wondering…i am not much of a saggy sock person especially socks that droop off the feet…but these look so lovely and if they are kinda malleable….well they are just gorgeous…

I am a ruiner of delicate things, so I was worried when I first tried these on. Though they feel gauzy and light, they’re super sturdy cotton and I don’t see how they could run from normal wear.
The foot part stays on your feet like a dream, even when I was prancing around the house shoeless.
As for how they stay up, that’s one of those things that depends on one’s legs and if anything is being worn beneath the socks (wearing fishnets or tights with them can help keep the ruching where you want it). There is so much sock they can’t just hang out at the ankles, some of us with scrawny chicken legs found that they naturally fell in to full, graduated ruching from the knee to the ankle after a while. Artful and arranged ruching lasts longer on fuller legs.

The image of me in the black ones was true to how they fit me. I started out with them all ruched thigh to ankle, but after moving around, walking, dancing to my own beat, etc they were ruched below my knees but sleek and sheer from my knees to my thighs and yeah, I thought they stayed on my feet really well.

ok ok ok i got them!!!!!!! first thing – SD is right when they say these are LLLOOONNNGGG!!! to say the least……they are incredibly long! and they do have a very delicate fell to them….more nylon-y then cotton-y….the foot is a nice size….i actually could position the formed heel on my heel because it came over my heel! (size 10) And yes they do stay completely on my foot! the foot part is a bit thicker but not like a thick sock…still very silky thin and can fit all my heels….i did the roll thing on the tops and i like that look and feel….i am really ejoying these!
