Simplicity

They’re all my gramma wears, the basic no show or footie sock.
I remember my aunties wearing them when I was little…
the kind with the little puff ball in the back, and they called them bootie socks.
…not to be confused with the booties my great-gramma used to make

she crocheted those and I had a bright orange pair,
sadly, I don’t remember what became of them.
But these I have plenty of, including this “extreme” version
extreme-liners
they hide away discretely in my lowest cut slip ons,
great for the sockless look without the sweaty feet.

Recent additions to this category include a lurex cuff and a true sport sock.
On the far ends of the range we have a silk toe sock and a cashmere version for men (or larger feet as the case may be). Not to mention a couple of cute novelty styles that come in three packs and two with ribbons to tie around your legs ballerina style…
(the Betsey’s should be available again in all colors by summer)

So which are my favorites?

currently the MP Classic No Shows because they are simple & comfy, do as promised, didn’t slip off my feet even when I slept in them and I think MP makes a great sock (and an even better pair of tights or leggings, but they don’t come cheap and these are pretty affordable as luxuries go). But really, I love them all and will keep bringing in more versions as I find them.

i never really liked the footie socks because the heel would always end up slipping off and somehow getting eaten by my shoe D: although i like the silky no show ones for flats, or sometimes to wear together with of another pair of socks if i desperately want to fit into a pair of shoes that are slightly too big XD

    now the O and A chevrons….now THATS a go-to sock! <3

I’m so glad you guys carry these, because TRULY no-show socks are insanely hard to find! As much as I obsess over coordinating my outfit with my socks, on those really hot days, sometimes I just want a pair of flats and nice, cotton socklettes that can’t be seen!

oh the ballerina ones are gorgeous! (both kinds)

I second what Kiwi says. For some reason, every “no show” that I wear seems to slip off while I am walking around in shoes. Thoes MP classic no shows look tempting though. I might need to try them and see if they don’t slip. :-)

The extreme’s did slip occasionally, still better than actually being sockless in my shoes but the MPs totally stayed on til I took my shoes off.

Hi, I have a question about the new arm warmers. I am loving the argyle ones… Is there any notable difference between the two blends as far as softness, stretch, size, etc. go?

I already have a pair of harajuku arm warmers in olive, and I was hoping they would be smaller and the fit would be snug (like normal socks are, the way they hug the leg?) instead of so baggy… They look pretty awkward unless I carefully arrange them, haha.

This is such a dorky example but Penny’s arm warmers look like they might be more like what I’m going for:

So is one blend going to shrink in the wash or be smaller than the other?

    Thank you. c:

I hate to stomp on someone’s question, but I had a question too. I am loving the MP lace trimmed ankle socks and I wonder if you’ll be getting them in other colors.

They are enough cotton to be really cool and comfortable and they are sooooo cute!

We could barely tell the difference between the two blends, they are more snug than the olive pair you got Delijay, but are longer and looser than Penny’s (hurray for Dr Horrible btw!!!). I can see about getting us more shorter ones like that, I have been thinking maybe it is tiume to back off on arm warmers for a while due to warmer weather coming, but I do still wear a pair nearly every day, at least in the morning.

Meg, the lace trimmed only come in white right now, but we do have other very similar MP styles in more colors due very soon so hopefully one of them will be just right!

Thanks so much for the information! :D

Oh yeah, on the topic of no show socks! I found a really good pair at my local grocery store (hahaha, seriously) under a brand called something like “No Nonsense” socks, I think. There is a little rubber grippy piece on the inside heel part so they rarely slip, and they really are EXTREME no-shows that don’t even fully cover the toes (they had other no-show types that came up higher too). They are great for summery flats, but I find that none of the heels I’ve tried to wear them in so far really cover everything.
