Super Loose, Super comfy!
…Featuring Trina…

Genuine Super Loose socks from Japan, thanks to Tabbisocks!
as you may know, we’ve tried as many super loose styles as we could over the past several years with the EG Smith version being the classic. Unfortunately EG Smith stopped making them and all of their boot socks & leg warmers until they get their new mill running so I finally put in an order for this version and WoW are they great! super soft and amazingly stretchy. When I first put them on they went right uyp over my knees, no surprise there, but they felt as if they’d go over anyone’s knees. They didn’t stay up on me by themselves for anything, not even just below my knees, they drooped all the way down…

(of course I can get them to stay up with adhesive or sock garters)
As various sock dreamers here tried them on my suspicions were confirmed…
they fit over everyone’s knees!

and they stayed up just below the knees on several of the girls here! Trina could get them to go thigh high and they didn’t dent a bit!
check out these awesome new garters will be making live this week…

Several of our most dedicated sock addicts have already snagged a few pairs for themselves and for the rest of you, if you like this style these are worth getting!
We love them and just might do some custom colors since that is an option with these. But first, we still have a few dozen more new styles to test and shoot. If you happen to be in the Portland area now is a great time to go to our store because new stuff is being added weekly and often is available in our store before it goes online.

Ahhh, loose socks! The BEST! Way to make me crave Fall weather even MORE! And all those pictures, so cute! The shoes everyone at Sock Dreams choses to model their legwear are almost as great as the socks themselves. ALMOST.

OT, but could I ask a sock garter question? I prefer my socks snug, without any bagging or slouching. I also love the feel of the super dreamies, which won’t stay up for a minute on me! I have several pairs of sock garters, and I like the way they look–however, if they are snug enough to keep the socks up, they feel too tight! When I make them looser, the socks fall down!
Any thoughts on what might be better? I could try the hockey-style garter belt…
thanks, y’all!

Not a fan of loose or baggy Knee Socks. I like knee socks that stay up on their own.

these wouldn’t be the socks for you then would they? ~;)

raubynn, you’re making me blush! :) I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing my legs on here. :)
Elizabeth, I love my Industrial Garter Belt. It lays pretty flat and holds up thicker socks really well. I use it under both pants and skirts, but usually more sturdy fabric like denim so it doesn’t snag anything. I am also becoming quite fond of the sock glue.
Personally, i don’t wear many loose or slouched socks. I plan on wearing my super looses pulled all the way up for a thick sweater-y like tight look with skirts or under my tall boots with just a little scrunching up at my knee at the top of the boot. :)

you should get these in that black currant, since that color is amazing if you do customize them. i love that color………..

Mmmm, black currant!
I think we have some stuff coming in a currant-y shade…

im not a fan of loose socks either, but those look like they’d do with a garter (and i’ve been wanting to try that adhesive) my problem with the socks that ARE meant to stay up is that they are SO TIGHT they leave painful indentations in my thigh, and some of them snap/break at the cuff when i try to get them all the way up =/

I love that last picture too!! Very sexy–and I’m not even a man :)
Did I read that the garters you are wearing are new cuz they look like just what I’ve been wanting–and if they hold up those slouch sock over your knee–I definitely want a pair.

yes, I should have added them by now and hope to by this weekend,
I’m trying to juggle moving with coordinating the new fall items,
it’s a good thing I have great helpers!!!
Anybody who wants a new pair just put a note in with your order and we’ll substitute the suspender clipped garters for the old fashioned slide style, black & brown are the only solids, the extra longs in black and a couple of the striped ones, they’re the same price…

thanks, Trina! How comfortable are those suspender garters you’re wearing in that last photo? I would guess that how comfortable a garter that goes around your leg is has a lot to do with how wide the garter is–a wider one would perhaps have less squeeze per holding up power?
The industrial garter belt sounds intriguing–but the snagging issue does worry me…
Thanks!

I was just looking at the industrial garter belt page, and I can’t figure out exactly where the velcro is! Is it in the waist fastener?

off topic – the shoes shown in EG ECO Comfort Top Crew/Plum color are amazing!

Thanks Raubynn!

EG sent me these and they are pretty much my current fav’s!!!

The industrial garter belt bothers me because of the plastic on the clip; it rubs on my leg terribly. This would be fine over tights, but over tights I don’t usually need much help to keep my socks up.
September 4th, 2008 at 11:13 am
the velcro on the industrial garter is up at the waist in the front. I have usually worn mine over my foot traffic combed cotton tights and it seems to not snag those.
The x-long mens garters were pretty comfy but i didn’t wear them for a super long time so not sure how they’d be for a whole day. I had to tighten them fairly snug to stay up on my thigh but i have some good fluff-and-stuff so it wasn’t too uncomfortable. :) The plus side to those is that i can make them small enough to use down right below my knee as well as high up on my thigh. Double the cuteness!

I just noticed the shoes in the EG Plum Eco Crew too! They are adorable! *covet* ;o)
