Super Marled Delight

The O Marled are among very-very favorite socks, in the top five for sure!
But on chilly days, or nights, nothing beats snuggling into a cozy pair of our
Super Marled Dream Stockings (except maybe the Super Dreamy Stockings…)
So, why were we out of these for the past couple of years? The mill we work with was having trouble getting the yarn and we could get lots more over the knees out of the supply than we could these thigh highed Super version. This year we’re thrilled to be fully stocked on both lengths!

These come all the way to the tops of my thighs and stay up pretty well for around the house. They are super comfy for pulling on first thing in the morning or for a cozy layer under your pants. They are 90% cotton and a heavier knit than the Super & O Dreamy stockings. The Dreamies, being an acrylic blend, have that super soft feel, almost a fluffiness to them, the Marled are very soft also, but it is different…
more substantial.

For my size 8.5 feets I prefer the small size
…though they both fit me, the small is just right and the large is loose. So I found it funny that I ended up keeping the large black cherry pair we used in the images and EG was accidentally sent a small pair for her size 11 feet.

I assured her that my large pair is indeed larger than the one she received
and we are sending her a new pair so she can give you the full run down on how they fit larger feet later this week or next. If only we could have merely switched pairs this morning when I read her email!

My pair is about 42 inches long from heel to rolled cuff.

One final thought before I open the discussion up for the rest of your thoughts….
the ankles can get baggy when they start to ease slowly down your legs. I tried wearing them with a pair of ankle boots so they could hang over the tops like leg warmers or leggings and it looked super cute, the top image shows this minus the boots which I had just removed before taking the picture.
(because I’m silly like that sometimes!)

ohhh… tee hee… I didn’t think I’d get to see Vel’s little bunny butt tail in the journal today. awwwwwwwwwww :O)
I can’t wait to try the larger version as the ones I got are just as cozy cushy and cuddly as ever!! (It’ll be super fantastic perfect to have these with feet that fit!!)

PS… I really like the way you can have extra folds of sock around your ankles (and still have enough sock to go over the knee). This is one of my favorite looks. If you’re not a fan of this look and want to keep your SuperMarled super high on your legs … I think those wonderful new extra long men’s garters would go perfectly with the Super Marled (and look super sexy on the thigh). But then again, I guess I think those new men’s garters would go pretty perfectly with most socks, so perhaps I’m a bit biased ;o)

I am so upset with myself! I adore Sock Dreams and was in Portland just two days ago looking at colleges. I can’t believe I forgot that Sock Dreams was based there!
Even if I didn’t get to visit the physical store, though, I guess I can make it up to myself with some of the lovely new things you’ve gotten in! ;)

Nice! Are these the black cherry ones? I’m excited about that new color option (and of course, the fact that it’s food-named). ;)

Indeed! Black cherry (YUMMM!!!)
…I just added that detail up there, thanks!!!

I so love these socks!! I was lucky enough to snag a pair of the original O and Super marled before they disappeared for awhile. Are these Super marled the same or are there any differences between this batch and the original? (or maybe I’m just looking for an excuse to buy more socks).
Thanks!

They seem the same to me except for the new colors being new, but you might want to try a pair just to be sure ~;)

Totally off topic but I just wanted to say the Doris crochet knee highs are fantastic. So soft and elegant, they really exceeded my expectations. Then again, I don’t have any other B.ella socks so perhaps they’re all like this. I can’t wait to get the tights version. Any chance for a TH of the same? It would be stunning!

Sena.. I’ve not tried the crochet knee highs, but the pair of B.ella socks that I do have (the niegos) is so prized in my sock drawer that I “save” them for ’special’. :O) I’ve never ever worn such a decadently cushy lush sock like the B.ella neigos before (and that’s saying a lot because there are a multitude of perfectly and amazingly wonderful cushy comfy socks here at sock dreams that I adore… the neigos are just truly special).

you know, I haven’t asked about a thigh high version of Doris, but that would be nice! maybe B.ella would be happy to oblige, of course nothing happens in the big sock world super fast but it couldn’t hurt to ask.

Omg I love those socks!!! =) So long. I love warm socks. Those make me very happy. I love how you can wear those with so many things. I like the way they look on you in that pic. Great style!

Ahhhhh! Just looking at these is making me SO anxious for cold weather! I love nothing more than lounging around in boxer shorts and slouchy Sock Dreams legwear!
