As Seen on TV

One month ago today a film crew of two arrived at our shop to film a segment for a local program called Portland Now on the CW channel.
Air time is Saturday June 28th at 9:30 pm and Sunday, June 29 at 4:30 pm
…if you miss it, or are not here in Portland with us, you can also watch it on their website anytime you like. Since I generally prefer to be behind cameras rather than in front of them I opted out of being interviewed this time and let our charming & lovely marketing girl Brigid step into the limelight for this occasion.

Of course, Bsti & I were there to watch from behind the curtain and were at least as nervous as Brigid was. I paced & answered every question in my head, every moment of silence seemed like forever til the next question was asked or answered.
I can’t wait to watch it on the big screen tonight!!!

Just the other day we changed out the center display in the store, so rather than the bright spring-colored stripes in the program you will now see these comfy & environmentally friendly EG ECO Slinky knees if you come sock shopping with us…

YAY! That was great to watch and to see so much of inside the store. It sure is beautiful! Well done you all.

  2. Jennifer Says:

That was awesome! I loved seeing the store. Bravo! Brigid did a fantastic job. OK, now I want more socks!

My boyfriend and I just got back to El Paso last night from our visit to Portland. We were looking forward to cooler weather on our trip but we brought a heatwave with us. (What’s up with that?!)

We made the obligatory stop by the store and it was wonderful. I had to take full advantage of the screamin’ deal on Simone’s Wide Stripe Tights (which I have lusted after since they were first introduced!)

Everyone was really nice and it was fun to see the place in person and ogle all the great socks. I even got my picture taken in front of the signage. Who was that cute doggie in the window?

Thanks for a friendly visit. You all are great.

We have three doggies that work here and I’m guessing you saw Pumpkin…
not because she is the cutest (and yes, she is pretty darned cute!)
but because she is usually the one seen through the window due to the location of her mom’s desk…
    Lola…

    Baxter…

    Pumpkin…

How cool to get to see the inside of the store! (I just watched the video online) It is every bit as beautiful and inviting as I guessed it would be!

And aww, Baxter looks just like my Sierra. *scritches* all around for your doggy staff!

  8. Jamie-Lynn Says:

Nice commercial. She seemed nervous but still spoke well and got out everything she wanted to say.
I didn’t even know you guys HAD a marketing director… How many people work for Sock Dreams now??

And I can’t wait to someday get the chance to visit the store and see everyone and everything in person!

  9. Kelly M. Says:

Wow, Brigid did a wonderful job! It was so awesome to see the store, too. Hopefully one day I’ll get to see it in person. ^_^

  10. raubynn Says:

  11. T-Rex Says:

I wish I could take my dogs to work. I imagine the hospital wouldn’t be too keen on that.

But they *could* play good cop/bad cop with the IT vendors! GG could be the suspicious, barking one who makes them jump through hoops. Lucy could love on them, and let them take her out to lunch.

BTW, I can’t imagine a better name for that dog than “Pumpkin”.
