Ever Dreamy!

dreamy-classic-tree-socks.jpg
This has been my absolute favorite pair of socks since they arrived as a sample pair a couple of years ago. Knowing you’d all want them in thigh highs we started ordering them. And while I love those too, these have remained my one truly dreamiest sock, just over my knees, often hanging out just under them. They get softer and softer every time I pull them out of the dryer.
Now this great length is here for everyone to enjoy.
Many of the days since they arrived you can find at least a couple of pairs being worn around Sock Dreams so it seems they are well loved by many already.
autumn colored O Dreamy Stockings
I was super happy when the timing worked out perfectly for taking them up on my little sock getaway in Seattle with Raubynn last weekend…
classic dream stockings
We had lots of fun running around town taking pictures in our socks.
slouched and comfy as can be!
Surely some people thought us mad
Hibiscus sock dreams
I was mesmerized by the hibiscus, such pretty colors!

When I came home I found out the last couple of colors were in so I put them on
Dreamy over the knee socks in bark
and climbed my favorite tree…
dreaming of sock faeries up in the trees

We also got this new color that we happily ordered in both lengths…
Dreamy antique stockings
some said they looked like patina, some preferred antique. In honor of Amanda officially taking over the Dream Stocking section I gave her the final say…
antique it is, and gorgeous too!
~~~{:::=:::}~~~
I nearly forgot to add this one from before my trip…
Ever dreamy on larger legs too!
These are indeed dreamy as a knee high on fuller legs!
    the antique is really an amazing blend of colors. you can just sit there and stare at them…very soothing i think – much like Seattle…very soothing – an amazing blend of culture, art, foliage, people, foods, architecture, etc etc etc….they matched each other well…and the long version of these is so incredibly long….
    ps. i LOVE the first pic! and you peek-a-boo in the tree pic….beautiful purples.
    pps. i wonder how many sock dreamers out there have sat in that cool bench ;)
    I was just wondering last night how long that bench has been there,
    …and who made it?
    I happened upon it around 11 years ago,
    same time I found Piroshki Piroshki ~=P
    the colours! i used to be afraid of the chunky yarn ( thinking that it would make my legs look chunky too) but then i put on some o yummies and i love the texture! the red, orange and purple combination in classic dreamy look amazing with this kind of yarn :)
    One of the (many!) things that I love about your site is the sock photography. Seeing the various styles and colors in action is wonderfully helpful to me! And so much more interesting than the uniform photos that most websites put up.
    A bit off the topic: I’m a new customer here, but I already have the feeling that I’ll be coming back repeatedly. I’ve heard nothing but good things about your company!
    uhg its MUCH too hot for those socks now T_T its getting to be in the 90’s where i live (las vegas)
    I know you say they stay up fairly well…but do they stay above your knees?
    I’m pretty certain these would be OTK on me (I have like medium weight legs I guess, 15″ calves and 18″ OTK area…but I’m 5′ 2″) my slouch socks and knee high super stripes both go over my knees after one shrinking round in the dryer (though the slouches definitely don’t stay there). I’m trying to decide between the thigh highs and these…I’d love these if they’d really stay above me knees.
  7. niqkita Says:
    they stay up above my knees for moderate activity, sitting, walking across the room and such. But they stay best just under my knees exactly as shown in most of the pictures. Right now they are perfectly above my knees and have been since I pulled them up after dinner ~=)
    sock garters would keep them over your knees though
    …especially some of the buttoned sock garters.
    I just love the first pic–all of the purples! But then again, I am a purple freak.
    Is the sock color Hibiscus?
    Definitely going on my wish list.
  9. niqkita Says:
    It’s classic, a little less saturated than they really are for the dreamy effect, the 5th image is hibiscus, it is extra dreamy ~=D
    I’ve been wearing the Antique Super Marled today with shorts. It has gotten warmer here this week, but not so warm that I don’t still want a good comfy sock ready to pull up to my thighs when I’m not out in the sun.
    These are so lovely. I thought they were gorgeous when the thigh-high version first came out, but I have slightly broader thighs and can sometimes have problems with the dreaded thigh dents, so I shied away from getting a pair. Now I’m definitely getting some of the OTK version as soon as I’ve got some extra cash. The classic is gorgeous, I can’t wait!
  11. Sena Says:
    Weeeee! A pair of the hibiscus comes my way! Irresistible =)))))
  12. Patrick Says:
    Look at those! How fun! So many colors too. Are those soft? Very dreamy. Haha. Speaking of dreams…I had the best dream last night. I had my fuzzy green socks on…and all my friends became so jealous! =) All these girls came up to me and started touching them and all. Haha it was so cool! I love dreaming about socks! Gotta love those dreamy socks. =)
    My Classics came today and I love them so much! I have the Super Dreamies in bark, and these are just as soft with lovely rich colors; the texture looks like a hand-knit sweater. This length is so versatile–my Super Dreamies are fantastic colder-weather lounging/bed socks, but they’re too long for me to wear under pants and a bit too much for summer. These can be worn under jeans, slouched in warmer weather or pulled up over the knee or cuffed at the knee…anytime socks! I think I’ll have to get more pairs at some point.
    Totally off topic, but little TH junkie me was wondering what happened to the Lemonade Stockings? I dont even know what they are (= Plain Cotton Stockings?) but I recall their name being brought up at some point. I also remember seeing something long and thin in a deep purple/wine from the private line back in that journal post with the table overflowing with new stuff. I couldn’t find it but I know it was from about 1.5 months ago…
  15. niqkita Says:
    Yes yes, Lemonade Stockings…
    it is one of those lovely little ideas I had and have yet to get going on so thank you for reminding me that some of you are eager to see them and try them and we just have to sit down and cut those little buggers up so you all can enjoy a unique and comfy little cotton stocking like not other!
  16. Sena Says:
    Oooh those were a whole lot of clues =)))
    I think I know where these would be coming from… ;)
    When life hands you lemons…How totally cute of an idea and useful too!!!
