On the table & in the store
This isn’t even all of it…

We have among our latest arrivals being tested & shot this week:
E.G. Smith Eco line of Green Socks
…made of recycled & organic yarns
Strange Monster Arm Cozies
…snug and oh-so-lovely!
K. Bell’s Soft & Dreamy socks
…with a name like that we better be selling them!
but do they live up to it? yeah, they’re pretty scrumptious.
These will start showing up on the site Monday…

and what you don’t see above are…
Classic Men’s Sock Garters

and an in-store exclusive of Betsey Johnson:

Don’t worry though, we’ll definitely offer our favorites online soon too!
But in store exclusives aren’t a bad idea either…

I’m excited that we’ve gotten in men’s garters! I’d been trying to figure out if it was worth it to try to make them myself, and I didn’t think so, lol! Also, anything called Strange Monster Arm Cozies has my interest. :)
I love the suitcase!!! Such a great idea! :D

Is there any otk coming in? I’m glad to see some Betsy Johnson, she’s pretty cool. Pretty exciting stuff.

Ooh, I love the look of the K.Bell rainbowish knee highs on the right, and the grey and brown ones with some kind of design (plants?) under the hemp ones. Oh, and the Betsey Johnson striped tights in three colors, but tights never fit me right, so I’m okay with those being in-store only ;)

Oh–all of the Betsey Johnson items look so pretty!! Wish I could visit.
I have a question that’s a little off topic–still about socks though. My husband is looking for some socks that will keep his feet dry. He works in a hospital and the temp is kept fairly warm in his department and he has a problem with his feet sweating. Do you have any recommendations for socks that will wick away sweat in a man’s size? Thanks so much!!

Wow! :3 The in-store exclusive look gorgeous!!

Okay, everything is up except the Men’s sock garters (weds or thurs)…
and the EG Smith green socks (starting weds and will be adding more over the next two weeks, there are lots!)
…and, of course, the Betsey’s won’t be on the site for at least a few weeks (I know one lucky girl who will be modeling some of them for me in Seattle this weekend ~;)
Jennifer, try the Coolmax toesocks, we’re expecting an order of the ones we’re low on anyday now.

Also, Jennifer, any of the angora blends should wick away sweat fairly well. They work great for me! If he’s alright with layering, the acrylic blends (such as some of the K. Bell stripes, which are nice and stretchy) under a regular pair of crew socks work really well, too. :)

Couple of things: first, the men’s garters are awesome and I can’t wait to wear them with long shorts or kilts when the weather is warmer to show them off. Like any garter (I assume), they take some work to get on, but are comfy once on and are very functional.
Second, I’ve never been a fan of toe socks, but they really do cut down on the sweating problem. I think the new golf toe socks would work very well for Jennifer’s husband. You’d think that toe socks would be uncomfortable in warmer situations, but it is not so at all. Keeping individual toes contained does the trick.

Okay, the first two of the EGs are up, I was hoping to get at least one more up and do a nice review on them and the garters, but am running out of time and am heading up to Seattle to hang out with Raubynn and take tons of pictures of more new stuff and new images of old stuff for the upcoming new site!!!

I just have to say, the Plain Cotton Stockings are super nice. Perfect to wear with garters! So I give these two toes up and hope we see more colors! =)
And Antique Dreamies…do I even have to say it?
April 27th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Omg! Look at all those beautiful socks!!! That must be heaven! =)

I managed to get to the store yesterday, and it is amazing! I never thought that it would be possible to make a storefront with the painstaking attention to ambiance and character as the Web site. It’s a triumph! (And it certainly sells socks! I nearly doubled my budget, but I regret nothing!)
Do you think the Willy Week will do another article on you now that you’ve brought the dream to life?
