I find they stay up fairly well; mine won't stay up over the knee but if I cuff them then they'll stay at my knees all day. They're neither too warm nor too thin, being quite a nice layer for this crazy spring weather. Sir Edmund used to love getting his picture taken, but the other day he was just annoyed that I woke him up. Morty, of course, loves all attention all the time, so he was no trouble. :) In fact while I was writing this, he demanded that I stop for a moment and pet him.
