Dreaming of Stripes
Liz & Amanda recently dreamed up a whole new batch of stripy combinations…
Last week they all arrived here at the warehouse
…so we set about trying them out and taking pictures
Liz did the photography and write up (”copy”) for this style
and I was beckoned to join them for a group shot to use for the thumbnail
…it was a welcome break from my daily doings! We both had cameras so I shot a few from my perspective. They are pretty colors, unusual combinations I wouldn’t have thought up myself, and the usual old-fashioned fit, like the other striped Dream Stockings have. Someone recently referred to this as being “from the days before lycra”. Actually, they do have a touch of lycra in them, just not that snug, hold onto your every curve, kind of lycra content most socks have, and many of us like it that way. They go over our knees and stay in our dreams, they may not stay up perfectly or fit everyone and we love them just the same! if you love our various colored knees combos or our M Stripes these are a cornucopia of yummy new choices!

See, I had just gone through my socks wish list and pared it down. I’d gotten rid of styles that had been out of stock for ages, and socks that you don’t carry anymore. I paid closer attention to the sizing of the socks, and took out the pairs that, no matter how cute they were, would just never fit my curvier thighs. I was proud of the fact that, even though I had added five new pairs of socks to a wish list that originally had 32 pairs on it, that at the end of the process there were only 25 pairs of socks on the list. Then these came along. Now my list is up to 26, half of which I want in almost every color option available! Ah, the dreams of a sock lover…

These are fantastic! I will surely need the Sunset, to start with. Gosh, these would certainly be lovely in a thigh high length…*nudge-nudge* ;D

super pretty with super pretty names..
but 21 inches.. *sigh* could they be a bit longer? (pretty please!) maybe 25 or 28! or longer yet?

lol Cheryl. That was exactly my thought too. I fell in love with the Sunset but since my Pastel Dreamies barely make it over my knees I too am hoping for a longer version of these pretties. =)))))

Today has been a bad day for me. My cash flow is not what it should be so I haven’t bought a lot lately. However, I decided to check out the goings on here on the Sock Dreams site. Well, I’m now happy because of the MP cotton lined wool tights. I have long wanted a pair of these cuz I feel like they will be like a second warm skin and that I may be able to wear with a sun dress and a turtle neck. After Niq posted that pic of her wearing them with the chevrons I really fell in love. I’m off to place my order and pray that they live up to the hype I’ve built up in my mind. I’m going to buy the the O chevrons too.

as for longer dreamy stripes, I don’t know about that, not right away anyway, and they’d have to be like the M Stripes because I don’t think the Super Stripes machine can do that many stripes, but maybe, but first, the holidaze are upon us! getting much done outside of fulfilling orders is gonna be a huge challenge for the next month, then, we are going to need the next month to rest and catch up ~;)

I think I need almost all of these, but I will throw my voice in with the others, who dream of OTK or (dare we say..) thigh high versions of these as well.

And I saw these the other day and was like How Did I miss when these came out? And then went to the Lastest Arrivals page and they had just made it. So rare for me to catch something out on the site first. Glad to see the legwarmers back, here’s to hoping I can afford to buy them before they sell out again.
