Better late than never

Naomi, getting ready for her debut party
Naomi was, as usual, late for her own party…
Kimi had been waiting for what felt like days, weeks even, for her best friend to be ready. For the umpteenth time she was changing skirts and threw another shoe across the room. “Maybe I should just wear pants!” Naomi announced in frustration as Kimi stared out the window of the warehouse replying “why don’t you just put on some tights so we can get going? you’ll be able to stay up longer anyway if you do…” “I’m perfectly capable of staying up on my own you know” Naomi replied smartly as she slipped on some cowboy boots and marched towards the door continuing, “just because I don’t have those cool stay ups in my top like you do doesn’t mean I’m going to come tumbling down anytime soon, besides, I’m marled!”

  7. Sena Says:

What a funny post! Kimi in burgundy IS divine! Wish I could wear animal fibers but just the thought of wool makes me itch =((((((
On an unrelated note: a new special private line was mentioned recently. Can you tell us about when that might be coming out? Or if it will involve something long or something short? Or, gasp, both? I’m so dying of curiosity and I wonder if I should start stocking up on winter basics or should I wait a bit longer? =) I understand if you can’t divulge any details…

Our little private line, a private lable of something we have carried all along with a few customizations, cotton stuff, made in the USA with pretty black & purple labels…

as of this morning most of it is here, except for the one item I wanted the most, when everything is in, and as time allows (during this, the busiest of sock seasons) we will start adding them in.

My plan is to get through the rets of the Hot Sox (I have nearly half done) and the new MP (haven’t even had a chance to touch those yet). BUT when the most highly anticipated item arrives I have it all photographed and ready to go so they’ll go up just as soon as we have them, I just haven’t been told yet when that will actually be…

  9. Sena Says:

Thanks!!! Sounds great – lots of items and in cotton =)…
I’m excited and I bet everyone else is too!!! Good luck with the line. =)

Hi Niquita! Sena’s post made me think a little. I bought a bunch of skirts for the fall/winter so that I can show off my cool socks. What are the essentials for this? I was thinking for the really cold days EG Smith cotton leggings, under Woolisimo tights and my choice of sock on top of it all.

  11. Elizabeth Says:

Brandy, I’m getting ready for winter too. I live in super cold Wisconsin, and I like to wear skirts year-around. I’m thinking leggings with O woolies (hopefully some new thigh-high woolies!) on top. I just don’t like tights… I’m also considering the long leg warmers.

  12. Amanda Says:

I highly recommend the super-long cable legwarmers. Scrunched and cuffed they’re still over my knee and toasty warm.

  13. Brandy Says:

Thanks for the advice Elizabeth & Amanda. I’m going to check out the the super-long cable leg warmers. I’m in NYC and doubt it’s anywhere near as cold as Wisconsin. brrr!

Totally OT, but I jus tnoticed that the swedish fashion site/internet magazine Modette mentions SockDreams:
    http://www.modette.se/mode/page.aspx?id=45730

I hope that my constant mentioning of SockDreams when I comment in high profile swedish fashionblogs have contributed to this, but of course they can have found out in many ways.

  15. Brandy Says:

Thanks Amanda & Elizabeth for your input. I ordered the super-long cable warmers.

  16. Star Says:
