Hallowed Socks

all lined up in their new Halloween socks
We’re always dreaming of new socks and trying new socks
and taking pictures of new socks…
Getting ready for sock shots
I usually try to avoid novelty socks
but these were too cute to pass up this time…
Bats and cats and spiders, oh my!
Jumping for joy in new socks
So we passed them around and had a little fun between pulling & packaging orders yesterday afternoon…
Scary socks
They fit small feet and bigger feet too,
girls and boys alike liked them and layered them…
layering our socks, spiders vs cats
We even made a little section with some of the best socks for the occasion all lined up and ready to peruse and Olivia made a banner for our front page to feature Halloween styles. We’ll be packaging up green and white stripes and rainbows and everything scary like crazy this month so that you can be your frightful best!

My cats were being oddly docile and photogenic when I was taking pictures for the black and orange ones of those. :) I think they liked the attention.

I think they are my fav shots too, both kitties look quite content ~:)

Oh sooo cute! And Amanda… the kitty in the orange pic looks like he/she knows something we don’t and is not telling… I love that expression!

Yes, that’d be young Moriarty, named for Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis. He is usually up to no good, but he’s so cute that no one minds. :)

This is kind of off-topic, but I hope y’all don’t mind! Any advice on shrinking just the feet in socks? I scored a pair of the wooly knees in the sale section, and the feet are pretty large for me. (I wear a 7.5 shoe.) I don’t want to lose any length, but I would like to shrink the feet. Same situation for the cuffable, scrunchable socks–although they are long enough that a little loss of length wouldn’t hurt me.

Anyone try putting just the feet in hot water? Any advice? Thanks, y’all!!

I haven’t tried that, but it’s a good idea. I also thought about using a hair dryer with high heat. When I put the cuffables in the dryer they shrunk so much that I can’t wear them because they’re too tight, so I’d advise NOT doing that. If you’re doing that with wool, also try scrunching the feet when wet as that helps the fibers bind up. Please share if it works as I have the same dilemma.

I haven’t tried it, but have heard from some who have. It also seems to me that just getting the feet wet then running through the dryer would help shrink the feet. Another thing I’ve heard of small feet doing is resewing the toe seam.
