EG, I made a long comment about washing wool on your post, but my computer ate it, so I'll concisely write here that:

Although heat will shrink wool right up, it's also the movement of the fibers when wet that can cause wool to shrink. The hair has scales on it which lock with the scales on the other hairs. More movement = more locking scales = shrinking. So don't scrub, twist, wring, agitate or aggravate your wool socks. Wet stretching might be counter productive, I'm not sure on that.

Best to soak and dry flat in cool water. I also read a run through the spin cycle is ok because the centrifugal force extracts water without making any of the fibers move. ... & As Eva has said a little hair conditioner can soften it up. I hope that helps.

I hooked up with Kimi today and we hung out for awhile taking pictures.
She makes a rich & delicious espresso as well as a classic charcoal. In burgundy she is devine, though a little uptight at the top, regardless of the shade. A tad itchy but so warm; and I'm sure she'll soften up with a nice wash or two. Naomi's a colorful character, really not my type, but nearly everyone else who has seen her here raved at her beauty!
