Green is in the air…

Green is in the air
and so is a chill, with Fall near, tights weather is here!!!
We just restocked the EG Smith tights with the three missing colors due back soon. The quality of these tights seems better than ever this year as a new company has taken responsibility for their production and is also working with Eric (the E in EG Smith) on an exciting new line of green socks, not green like my new pair of chartreuse tights seen here, but green as in organically grown cotton dyed with natural dyes all made here in the US for what just might be the earth-friendliest socks ever! They should arrive by spring so stay tuned for that ~:) but for now, back to tights… EG Smith Bigger Better tights were not on the order list for awhile and that really upset us! sure these original “Leg Therapy” tights are supposed to fit up to 6 feet tall and 200 lbs, but not all proportions are comfortable in them and prefer the BBs. Better news? I’m asking them to make more colors in bigger better, including space dyed and heathers, and while we’re asking for stuff, how about some bigger better leggings? if you’ve tried to find genuine plus sized leggings you know there is room for improvement here. So here’s to dreaming up more ways to stay warm in the cooler months! Great for women and men alike, totally opaque with a nice roomy double-seamed rear and a few fresh images of the same old classic colors.

Gorgeous picture! I have always been a bit concerned about the roomy rear on these tights. Does that mean that if you’re on the thinner side and have a matching smaller behind they would be loose and wrinkly in that area?
    *wishing she had more curves*

  2. Sena Says:

Oh I just looked at the pictures for all the colors and it seems like those lovely behinds are very similar size to mine. May be I’m just worried over nothing.

  3. Piperlou Says:

Last year was so disappointingly warm in the South… I really hope it gets cold enough this winter to merit a pair of these tights. The colors are just so rich and the fabric looks so cozy!

…Wait, what is that behind your left leg?

  4. niqkita Says:

Thanks! behind my left leg is part of my long wool coat that I pulled out of the way, you can see all of it in the image on their page. I was so happy to be able to put it on for awhile, I’ve had it forever and it needs a new lining, but there is also something I really like about the tattered old satin under the comfy warm wool.

Wow. Beautiful.Glad you are shooting again.

THE WHITE IMAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh EVERYONE must look at the white image….so here you go again FORCING my brain to stay locked into your imagery and subsequently creating entire characters and stories and then i WANT to be or try to be these things and therefore i MUST have these stockings to TRY (and never succeed) to become the character created by you & your photos. sigh….you should write….novels….based on these images. these pics all of course involve a beautiful steed and dry crispy leaves being trodden under hoof and you gallop thru some mystical land…the coat is perfect. the tattering. the tree. you. siiiiiiiiigh.

  7. daisy Says:

what’s that thing just to the right of your left calf that looks like little dinosaur jaws?

  8. EG Says:

strange alien sockigator creeping up behind to nibble on your ankles? if you look just below that little teethfilled mouthy thing (combination eel/iguana?) behind your left leg it looks like there is an eye in the tree bark too… what are those??? :O)
LOVE the color of those tights!!!

  9. raubynn Says:

OMG EG you are so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think Mr Tree is stealing a peeky at Niq!!!!!!!!

  10. patrina Says:

I’m soooo excited for the cold weather and all the socks and tights i get to wear now! Can’t wait to see what you’ll find next.

yes, this tree that I have secretly planned to rid my yard of has grown on me lately since I discovered the joy of climbing up into it. Just to the right of me is our trusty old gator. Found him many years ago at Toys R Us for cheap and had to have him. I can hardly believe how he’s still in perfect condition after spending many summers out in the sun, sometimes in a pond, followed by many long cold winters and still his colors are bright and his teeth sharp V^^V
And Holmes, I never stop shooting, I just sometimes have so much to do as a busy business owner that I can’t post them as quickly as I want, but it is my center, my thing, what I love, as we grow I train more people to do more of the things that keep me so tied up around here in hopes and dreams of being freed up to photograph, edit and purchase and do little else work-related stuff ~:D

  12. EG Says:

    It’s like “where’s waldo” :O)
    except with a gator

  13. niqkita Says:

in one shot, just his head showed up between my ankles, so I did go through and look for him in all the shots because I wasn’t even thinking about him being there when I shot these. I put him in the tree when I took the pond out last fall to use for our turtle’s large indoor abode. I’m not sure why she’s never appeared in any photos, maybe because my toes are afraid of her little dinosaur turtle mouth.

  14. homes Says:

I understand, Niqkita. I have much respect for your business aspect and endeavor. I am just a fan ’shouting out’ about some more of your powerful images.

  15. niqkita Says:

    Thanks!

  16. shelleopard Says:

    Leezard legs! Awesome! :D

  17. starrynightxxi Says:

wow, the color and shapes makes me think of green tree pythons. Thought the alligator was funny, I never would have noticed the peeping tom tree if someone else hadn’t pointed that out. weird!

  18. PrettyPape Says:

Wow I guess Piperlou & Patrina gave me a reason to be thankful this winter-at least it’s cold enough to wear tights! Actually, it has been for a few weeks now (on & off) but that’s MN for ye. I love EG Smith tights in fact from Oct-March I ALWAYS have a pair on (OK not in the shower).

  19. olivia Says:

Mmm! You look like a lovely, lithe African tree snakess.
