O Lovelies in the Fall
YAY! Autumn is almost here which means cooler weather and being able to wear long socks again. When I first saw the O Lovelies I thought they were so cute, and knew I had to get them! Alot of the pics showed them scrunched, and I always wear my otks up, so I had some doubts about their stay up power. Everyone said they stay up fine, so I bought them, and am thrilled about how these actually DO stay up really great. I’ve been wearing mine for almost 3 days and they’ve made it through grocery shopping, much socializing and even playing with my mom’s dog Sadie. They stayed up the whole time. After a few days of wearing the knee is starting to get a little stretched out, but most socks do that after alot of wearing and kneeling.
Here’s Sadie a little wet from jumping in the pond to chase the ducks. The O Lovelies are a wonderful otk sock for this time of year because they’re a lighter weight sock. I want to call them delicate, but they’ve proven to be quite rugged with all the wear I’ve given them. I got the small size in grey which fits my size 6.5s most excellently. No need to shrink these in the dryer.
Another reason I love these is because the cuff stays put! There’s no annoying doughnut rolling going on. They’re also a full 4inches above my knee. So I really love these and hope to get all the fabulous colours.
Sadie can’t take her eyes off the lovely O Lovelies! teehee.

They are one of my favorites, they go over my knees too, but they still don’t necessarily go well over the knees on larger/longer legs…
let us know how you do you two…

Aww! What a cute puppy =) Good to see you posting again, Rebeckah! I might have to get some of these when it really gets to be fall-er here, but right now it’s still 96 outside and not wearing any socks

yah, these are great socks for sure. & it’s nuts how much I love that dog, I’ve really only known her for a year, but dogs are so wonderfull, it’s hard not to fall in love with them. :)

this has nothing to do with socks….but you Mz R always put me in mind of a ballerina…..nothing to do with dogs either…..so to stay on topic- OLovelies have the most wonderful design and stay up remarkably well…actually stay pretty much wherever i place them very well (under knee/over knee)….and doggies are so loving….and Mz R is always lovely…..so therefore the link between them all….their loveliness.

I think the Lovlies are pretty darn great too (though more of a knee high on my larger longer legs) and the feets on the largest size are just perfectly wonderful for my non-petite-feet. :O)

Sena, I’m glad you’re getting them. Let us know how they fit you too. I’m betting you’ll like them. & EG how we’d love a romp with you & Vel, and I’m predicting Sadie will be scared of cutie, tiny little Vel. Sadie’s a big love bug, but she’s a real scaredy-cat(dog). lol.

I loooove the O Lovelies! I got them in grey and blue, and they come up well above my knees! I have thin legs though, so after a couple wears they started to slip after a brisk walk. I have the small, and they fit my 5.5 feet quite nicely.

Ohhh I got my O Lovelies today! I’m so happy with them! For anyone with sizing doubts (like I had) – I got the Mediums who fit my 8.5 feet fine, my lower legs are 16in long from heel to my knee fold, and my calves are 13in around at their widest. But I do have big knees and these Lovelies lovelyly (this is a word because I want it to be) go over them full 3 inches, 4 if I pull them up tighter!
Thanks Rebeckah for encouraging me to get them. They’re awesome! The only problem – now I want them all… Does anyone have a rich husband to spare?

These are such lovely socks! Are there any plans for darker colours in the future? I would love a pair in black.

At this time they can only be made with the lighter colored yarns or they come out looking odd, but we’re hoping to find a solution so that we can do darker shades too.
