Having a fabulous time at Pride
…wish you were here!

The crowd was beautiful and the feedback fantastic, at the end of the day our cheeks hurt from smiling so much and not because we had to but because we were just having so much fun being there and talking to everyone. To me, supporting pride is not so much about supporting this preference or that, but supporting the right to be who you are and dress the way you like; and being surrounded by unique individuals is just about the best place I can think of being, besides being safe at home that is ~;)

Here’s a small sampling of our little booth…

I caught Liz having a good giggle here with Janey.
I wore my extra special socks that I will be sharing with all of you this fall…

paired up with some of Shelleopard’s ever adorable pompom garters
(which we now need to restock)
Late in the afternoon we noticed an invasion of pirates, as if their ship had just come in (we were at Waterfront park so it did seem possible). We were told they were having a Pirate’s Booty outing, I think that’s what they said, it sounded like an awful lot of fun and many of them had stripes on their legs. The best we saw were these two, who, it turned out, are repeat customers of ours, not to mention terrific dancers!

Karissa is wearing vertical stripes and Joshua is wearing rugby stripes.
Sunday will be far busier due to the parade, but we’ll still be happy to see each and every one of you who comes down to support the right to an independent thinker!

Aaaahhhh! It looks like so much fun!!! Gosh, I would have loved to be there for something like that, I’m sure it’s much better than the events here in the midwest.

Restocking garters as we speak, my sweet! Is that a sock-dreams cloth banner in the back? OMGWANT! :D

That’s awesome! Of course you’d run into repeat customers, I’m sure they’re everywhere. And wearing your stuff too! That’s so cool.
The booth looks great! Wish I could have been there.

Thanks! today was at least as fun as yesterday, everyone is sooo excited about us opening a store this fall. Unfortunately it never really got warm today, which, yes, is far better than a heat wave, but I really was hoping to wear less clothing and really show off my socks, but I was constantly being asked to lift my skirt up to show just how high the Super Stripes go ~:)

Oh, and yes, the banners, we’re definitely going to print up lots of posters and banners for the store this fall and will surely be selling them as well.

It was so awesome. I hadn’t been to Pride in years, and I’d forgotten how wonderful it is to be surrounded by so many loving and courageous people.
Plus, lots of cute doggies!

Awww looks like so much fun. I wish I didn’t barely miss all the fun events though. To think that I’m all the way down in Orange County and we’re driving up to Oregon sometime next week… and no events where I can meet you all =(

We got engaged there last year. If we didn’t have so much going on right now we would have been right there.
So much fun. Love the pics.
And now we find socks.. I can’t sleep until I know something is in the mail!

Thank you, raubynn.. I just came back to this post.
Someone else asked about the skirt - the link to the wonderful person who made it is in the “spend your allowance” section.. you can find her by looking for the apple banner that looks like the skirt!
I’m going to miss my kitchen. I sure do hope I can paint the next one pink too.
It was blog heaven at pride? Darnit - I wish we could have gone. I would say we would have had a blast last year - but we had the craziest trip in the world.. even if we did get engaged. We’re hoping to go back and enjoy it!! (Well, we did enjoy seeing Radiohead - until we got sick).
K - I’m rambling to myself. I don’t know why I do this.
mmm… out.
