New pink Cuban heels, the dream vs the reality
In the picture they were the prettiest pink & appeared to stay up without the help of a garter belt. When they arrived they were a stronger shade of pink, closer to salmon than baby, baby salmon perhaps? I signed them off to Janey to shoot on one of her models and they reported back that they don’t stay up for anything & start snagging the moment you touch them. So I decided to give them a try myself…
Out of the package they didn’t have the cheap feel I expected from such easily snagged stockings. I pulled them up with ease, so far so good, but the back seam wasn’t quite straight so I eased them back down below the knees and carefully pulled them back up paying special attention to the seam alignment. Perfect, but wait, where’d that snag come from? I didn’t even feel a slight tug on my nails, and that tiny hole, that wasn’t there a minute ago. Next I noticed that the heels were on my ankles, a quick adjustment fixed that, but they really weren’t going to stay up for any amount of walking without something holding them up so I added a pair of the panty garters, minimal support with those and it was plenty, plus, they looked perfect together!
Now that I’ve got them figured out I love them! they have plenty of stretch for the longer legged among us and with minor adjusting you should be able to make the cuban foot-bed work for a women’s size 8 up to a 12 (men’s 10), give or take a bit depending on how picky you are. I highly recommend using a wash bag and some special hosiery wash plus a pair of gloves that cover your fingers to help prevent snags from cuticles and nails. Though my pair didn’t suffer any additional damage after the initial incidents.
We might just run out of these this week, but will be ordering more immediately!

The tops of these are beautiful!!! In the pictures the color reminds me of vintage lingerie pink (in the 50’s and 60’s they used a gorgeously rich, bold, ever so slightly salmon, vibrant pink on lots of nighties and slips, many of them with flowing matching lace and ribbons … Oh how I LOVE that color, it’s just uber girlie). This post makes me wanna get myself all dolled up… now where’s my perfume and big fluffy powder puff?! :O)

Regarding the new Via Spiga capris, how’s the stretch on the bottom cuffs? My trouble with capri leggings is that the bottom cuff is so tight I always get a gross calf bulge, and given that my calves are entirely muscle I don’t think it’s terribly fair.
So, done any testing on the thicker-legged?

Those are just gorgeous–I shall put them on my wish list. I’m so glad you brought up garters–I’ve had a questions puzzling me for some time now. For those of you who wear garter belts—do you wear them over or under your panties? Over is so much more attractive, but under is so much more practical–especially when you must go to the bathroom. I’ve always worn them under–but then, thought that might be silly-looking–not that anyone outside of my hubby would see them anyway. Just wondering–thanks!

I wear them under. Yeah, it’s not as pretty, but a girl’s gotta tinkle. (Plus how else are you going to keep your lovely stockings on for romantic interludes?)

I wear my panties under, it looks better and I can manage the needs with the limited space.
As for the capris we haven’t had a valid larger calved testing yet, but will shortly. In my opinion they have great-comfy stretch at the ankles and should not be a problem…

I’m a panties under garters girl too… never really even thought about putting them on top of the garters (and a little thong is so easy to just ‘pull off to the side’ for those necessary things).
Though looks like the panty garter solves that dilemma pretty well :O)

Those are so pretty! and I already have that garter set, perfect!
I always wear my panties underneath and usually struggle in the bathroom. In this case you can just pull the whole thing down.

ooo preety! I wear the underwear under the garter belt. Since half of my garter belts are sequin covered my undies would not fit too well over them lol
