Verticale Tights are so right
These Vertical Tights are a really sexy pair of tights. Everytime I open one of their packages, “The LeVante Scent” fills my nose. I can’t decide if I like it or not, or even if it is perfume or the smell of the fabric, so I tend to sniff them alot trying to make up my mind what that smell is all about. I imagine their factory must be thick with this scent and their workers mildly delirious from the smell & making such fabulous stockings all the time. After a washing the perfume is gone, so I’m thinking it’s just a selling point. If you are sensitive to scents you will want to wash these before wearing.
The panty area is “tanga style” instead of the brief/boy short style like most American pantyhose are. Which pleases me greatly as I never found the brief style to have an advantage unless I got the super-duper control top turniquets. So this tanga style ads to the sexiness. I used to like pantyhose, but the square boxy brief has always been so unattractive that I gave up on pantyhose and switched over to tights. But these are really sexy and are winning me back. If you never thought of pantyhose as sexy, I bet it’s because you haven’t worn tanga style before.
I’m sorry I’m too modest to show a pic of the tanga panty. So, here’s a close up of the stripe detail instead. It’s a nice little pattern, and every few lines, the rest are a normal kind of stripe.
“The sheerness of the garment, expressed as a numerical ‘denier’/'dtex’, ranges from 3 (extremely rare, very thin, barely visible) to 15 (standard sheer) up to 30 (semi opaque) until 70 (opaque).”
These are 20 denier.
Which is pretty sheer and will clearly show all tattoos & booboos.
The vertical stripes are very flattering. They make your legs look longer and slimmer. I’m 5′3″ & I got size 2 which fit me fine. These are the glace colour which is your standard nude pantyhose colour. Tube style feet like most hosiery. And these will probably run if you’re rough on your hosiery. They are very sexy and one style I want all the colours of. I really love the Verticale Tights.

Lovely!!! sadly, I didn’t actually try these, I just can’t try them all anymore (though I do still try). I didn’t realize they had a different panty area than the “usual”.
We’ve been talking about nailing down this denier thing, it’s not often people ask, but here and there they do. It is even less often that the products we sell that it applies to even say what their denier is on the package.
Great review & pics!!!

Someday, when I have the money I’ll have to buy those, or some variation of vertical stripes, I’ve been eyeing the style forever!

Show us your tanga!! ;D
As always, Miss Rebeckah, very lovely and sexy pictures, along with a great review. I *adore* these pantyhose, too, but I’ll probably never get them. I never wear anything but thigh highs because I can’t stand anything tight around my waist, due to some personal pain issues in the tummy area. But I think I can manage with the sheer vertical stripe thigh highs in both black and white that I have. :)

thanks Niqkita & Cheryl. I think denier applies more to fine hosiery than socks, but if there were universal standards it would indeed make things easier. But knowing the women’s fashion industry & how a size 8 person can wear size 4 thru 12, it may be a moot consideration. Even the definitions I sent you & posted on LJ are pretty ambiguous.
& oh yes Cheryl, those are great too! I finally got those in the white I’ve wanted forever… they’re great to layer with stripes too. Y’all will just have to use your imagination for the tanga. ;) …. and for anyone who doesn’t know a tanga panty is high cut on the hip part. So the denser weave resembles a high cut panty. Did that help any?

Very Pretty! :) I don’t really ever buy pantyhose because they either are too short for me to begin with or slide down in just a couple of steps then the crotch finds itself somewhere near mid-thigh *ew* lol

I have the same problem Babylon :O)
What an excellent review Rebeckah!! I really enjoyed it, such elegant pictures.
So nice to see you post again… you are all better now I hope?

Great job Rebeckah! I usually ignore the denier part, even though I know what it means. Some folks just make better hosiery than others. Which is why I’m glad I found Sock Dreams cuz they know who those folks are.The long cuffable: I have a pair that I sleep in and wear around the house. They now look brushed. I think this is a result of me wearing them to death and wanted to know if I’m right.

Those are really nice. I’m one of those rough on pantyhose type of people though. Everything really sensitive usually runs after the first wearing with me. Especially since I almost always have some sort of issue with my nails just WAITING to snag something pretty.
I got something Levante once and I liked the smell, made them feel more fancy!

Brandy: I think you’re Cuffables are experiencing the normal wear. I have a few pairs, and off the top of my head, I think at least a couple have that feel. Additionally, a few of my Ribbed Ms have that feel, too, they feel almost like a sweater. I think that is pretty much going to happen with anything cotton, though. I certainly expected it, and looked forward to the deliciously soft feel. I would say that pretty much any of my M Stockings/Socks that I have had for little while feel much softer than when I got them. Being cotton, they’ll do that. Wearing and washing, they’ll do that. But I love it, I like them softer, and especially knowing it’s because they are loved so much. =D Like those random pieces of clothing we love to death, to pieces, and love how soft they feel through the process, even though we know what it really means, that they are slowly, gradually, falling apart, because all things we love so much do fall apart, but dammit, they’re worth it!!
I remember thinking about this once. That the things we love the most and the things we love the least, fall apart. Now this doesn’t hold for everything, but think of, for example, a car: when you see an old beat up, junk-heap of a car driving down the road, you can only assume that either, it’s been loved a whole damn bunch, or it’s been unloved and ignored. Ever think how much that applies to other things? Like people? (Uh-oh, there I go getting philosophical again! ;P)

Cheryl, you are so coool!

ooo, yea Cheryl, but I think with people it has most to do with how much you love yourself. If you don’t love yourself then no one else can ever love you “enough” for you to feel happy. & People are never loved “too much” as when we say that it usually means someone is trying to control them. Love allows. & yea, *things get damaged, things get broken* to qoute Depeche. ;) I like when you’re philosophical. :)
My M40s (remember those?) have pilled alot with all the love they’ve gotten. & I usually run my nails over my top or bedspread to see if I have any sharp nail bits & file them before putting on hosiery, because I too, have ruined hose by not filing my nails first. I know it seems like alot to go thru, but nice hosiery can make your legs feel so silky and sensuous like nothing else can! There’s just times when I want to feel my legs be as sexy as that…. & the nice thing about these is that they aren’t like traditional pantyhose with the binding top part.. the tanga panty makes it much more comfortable. & The waistband was totally comfortable too, but I’m a really skinny girl so it’s hard for me to judge that. & thank you EG, I am feeling much better finally. :)
