Tie me up in bows…

Gotta love fishnets and bows on curves :O)

I adore fishnets but am kinda picky about the amount of cling factor. For years I’d only purchased fishnets from dance wear manufacturers (I like the resilient materials they use and the super elasticity of them). The problem I find with some “regular” maker nets is that there just isn’t enough return stretch and there end up being spaces where the nets don’t cling (like behind the ankles and knees). I am pleased to say that the Stay up Fishnets with Woven Satin Ribbons have just enough cling to hug every curve and stay there, and yet not so much of a tight grip that your legs look like a ham when you take them off (thanks to Babylon for that comparison… it was you right?). Though I must mention that the stay up top band is quite snug (but not painful) on larger leggies, and there may be a little thigh denty thingy. They stayed up great, and only had a small amount of top roll down every once in a while.

Even larger legs can look sexy in fishnets!

The shiny wide satin ribbon threads through pretty circle cut outs near the top of the stocking… and the ribbons are long enough to decadently trail down your leg in a loose bow.

Girlie yet tough

I love these on bare legs, and adored them with my Dark Red & Fuchsia Mstripes as well. The look that ended up being my fav was with the Mstripes and Nets sort of lazily bunched over the knee, ribbon hanging down a bit too loose and sloppy …  though really pretty in a “I’m a mess but still cute as heck” sort of way, and I just looooove things that can do that.

I love this comfy casual cute combo

Are you trying to seduce me Mrs. Robinson?

OMG that is easily one of the most awesome chairs I have ever seen. I love that color. Actually, your whole room is pretty sweet.

I hear you about the “loose” fishnets thing… I have very muscular calves and small feet and ankles, and that weird baggy space is just odd looking… Glad to hear your thoughts on these… I’ll have to check ‘em out!

I love your reviews, and the fact that I never know where your links are going to lead! Great photos, and I want to steal that chair–no, wait, that’s not a chair, it’s a THRONE!

I had to send the hamster dance around, it was just too cute! & everybody loved it. One of them looked like Totoro!

    :O)

I forgot to mention that these look really fun without the ribbon too. Wearing them over a funky pattern OTK and leaving the ribbons out allow the under pattern to show through the cute little circular “windows”

    ahhhh that chair… sigh.
I love it too, but it’s got a secret.

It was given to me by a friend who had been storing it in her basement and was on a throw away spree. The story goes something like that her partner “missed” in something she was doing with a saw (I’m imagining chain saw-ish) and accidentally lobbed off the top curve of the chair ( see it’s secret here ). The broken pieces were long gone by the time I acquired it. This is why I have that little swatch of leopard fabric draped over the top… there simply is no top to the chair. But I thought the it far too gorgeous even with it’s booboo, so I adopted it.

Ever since I’ve had it, I’ve been searching for a substantial piece of matching blue velvet. I thought perhaps I could create a tufted/quilted piece that would look like a headrest and become a permanent band aid for the “throne”.

So, we had a little update to the site in the night and the latest items page went askew…
Dan has fixed the image issue and I’ll get the arrangement updated this evening. I took tons of pictures this weekend and will be adding new stuff like crazy this week ~:D

OMG… must must must have RED PLAID ARMWARMERS!!!

  12. niqkita Says:

I’m so in love with the plaid arm warmers!!! I have a grey pair on now. …funny story about these, the company has great tabi socks, hence their name, but it was their arm warmers that really wowed me and, truth be told, we sell a lot more arm warmers than tabis…

… But where did you get those fantastic boots! I am having the hardest time finding a stylish unheeled boot.

  14. EG Says:

They are palladium brand (and these were men’s boots)… There is this great seller on ebay, who often has some really nice prices on boots/shoes in his auctions. I got these boots about a year and a half ago, they probably don’t make them anymore… but I think they were called “balke” or something like that. ( to see shoestore1 click here )

  15. R. Says:

Thanks for the tip! (The style has indeed been discontinued, and it doesn’t seem to be around in my size, but I’ll keep an eye on that seller’s auctions. Maybe something similar will turn up.)
