New stuff ahead

new ozone socks
We got some lovely unisex/men’s socks from Ozone when we restocked this week. They will join a rather large array of tempting new styles we’re working on adding. Sock sales are starting their slow descent into summer so we’re going to be working hard on catching up on and conquering many more dreams before the fall rush overwhelms our days once again. Among other things we are very close to choosing the next location for our warehouse, if we get the one I want it is going to be exciting beyond words, if we get one of the other ones I love it will be pretty cool. Either way we are making our selection with our future storefront in mind and our growing sock dreams at heart. Til then I’m going to keep editing and ordering and supervising the order fulfillment and advising Dan on our website upgrades and working with Olivia on design ideas and loving all of you for making all of this possible.

Man, some days I wish there was a ‘new stock package’ where I could just get a lot of the new styles. Thankfully I’m cold natured, so I’ll be buying armwarmers and socks for all summer to come. XD

  2. Brenna Says:

Yay! As much as I always hate moving, getting to peer around new places is one of the most fun things ever.

Good luck with getting the place you want and totally stoked on the new additions to the selection!

When I saw that picture of all the new socks I nearly wet my pants in excitement (bad puppy!).

    I’M SO EXCITED!

  4. Jamie-Lynn Says:

Looks like some nice stuff in there, can’t wait to see more detailed shots when everything gets all added in.

  5. Eva Says:

    I see tartan : )

  6. Le Ann Says:

    eee! ^_^
    I’m far too excited!!
I can’t wait to see more!

  7. Cheryl Says:

Yes yes yes! I see tartan, too! *squee* Waiting [non]patiently to see these new lovelies!!

I am excited and happy for you all for being able to expand and move forward; it is certainly wonderful news to read about my favorite business having success that allows for growth. =) Because you know, I’m counting on you still being around 20 years from now…;D

    Yeargh, pirate booty!

Well, that was my first thought anyway, when I saw the photo ; ) It looks like the pile of treasure hidden in the pirate cave.

But seriously, stripes are always exciting.

  9. Kay Says:

Eep! Great looking stuff. I can’t wait to see what the tartan is…
Sock-Dreams is quickly becoming an addiction! I’m hoping my latest batch of socks will be waiting in my mailbox for me this evening.

  10. Jill Says:

Hey! I want to be in a cave full of socks.

  11. niqkita Says:

I think I’m going to fast track the tartans…
if I’m good I should be able to have them up around this weekend ~:)
I’m trying not to say too much too soon, but as of this morning it is not looking good for the place I *really* want. But there are plenty more out there and as long as we are able to be moving by June we should be settled by August when the rush starts. If there is plenty of room for us all to work and grow and a space that we can set up for every one to come in and touch & buy the socks I’ll be happy in the end.

  12. Kay Says:

I’m sure it will be fabulous no matter where you set up. Now if only I wasn’t on the opposite side of the continent…

  13. raubynn Says:

are the beautiful new vertical stripes VERY snaggable??? gosh, those pictures are a dream….

  14. Cheryl Says:

Oooh, you know, there is a possibility I am moving to Seattle, which is certainly a hell of a lot closer than where I am now…!!! XD

  15. Jamie-Lynn Says:

I’m a little confused just cuz I thought you just recently moved into a house and such. Are things already outgrowing that space?? If so, Congrats!

  16. niqkita Says:

yeah, it will be 2 years in September at our current location. We could almost make the space work for another year, but working in it with an ever increasing amount of people is a concern, plus storefront!!! yes, this has become a priority, so, location is very important and our current space is no where near big enough to add that (though I did hope it would be when we first got it). We’re staying in southeast Portland, most likely in the lower Hawthorne/Belmont vicinity and we’re looking for something large enough that we shouldn’t need to look for another place in a few years, unless we’re *adding* a new location ~:)

  17. Jamie-Lynn Says:

Wow, it’s been 2 years already, feels more like 6 months to me!!
That’s awesome that you guys are all about a Storefront. Now I just gotta figure out how to get there and visit once you get all up and running!

  18. Rebeckah Says:

wow. congrats Niq on such fabulous successes!

  19. Amanda Says:

I’ll be back in late June if you need more employees! So excited for you guys!

  20. michelle Says:

Oooh, tartans! I can’t wait. I’m amazed at how much Sock Dreams has grown! I’ve only been an SD addict for a few years now but you just keep getting BIGGER and better!

I’ll definitely be making a trek down to Portland the instant you folks have a Storefront. I get all misty eyed just thinking of it. HA HA HA ;) I’m a customer for life.

  21. Brandy Says:

Please do not get too BIG.I love small companies like this one. It’s like a small community. I’ve only been a customer for about 6 months or so. I bought 2 pairs to test you all out. One of which I gave to a friend who’s always cold. I plan to be a Sock Dreams customer for a long time. I’m addicted to this site. Whatever happened to the M43s

  22. niqkita Says:

the M43s went on Hiatus, they weren’t really supporting themselves, but we may bring them back someday when we have enough room to stock all the wants of all the eager toes in the world ~:)

  23. Ash Says:

    oooh, I love that photo.
To find a treasure chest full of those O_O I would die happy.
