Blueberry dreams
O Yummies by nature require tasty names. It just has to be.
And these blueberries take me back to fields of tasty berries, nearly as purple as they are blue, or are they nearly as blue as they are purple? depends on the lighting, and the angle, and the mood. This was definitely a pair I had to have for myself and see myself grabbing from the pile for years to come. Which pile? yes, I have many, here and there and everywhere. In boxes and drawers and special shelves. I organize them and arrange them by season and whim. At least three have my favorite comfies, at least three have my favorite dress ups, at least three have those I’ll rarely wear. These will be in with my comfy fav’s but might get grabbed when I’m dressing up too because they make a lovely stocking for a day by the water or a night out exploring after dark, sneaking around in the shadows, even if those shadows are just in my dreams like they are tonight. It’s good to have new O Yummies to dream in!!!

:) I’m so excited I can’t wait for my pair to arrive! I’ve never really been a big fan of the typical blueish-purpleish color, but these O Yummies look like they’re the perfect balance of purple and blue.

How are the feet?I’m a size 7. I like the “blueberry” and the “carrot”. However, the feet in the photo look long.

Mmmmm… these do look tasty.. but at 5′7 with chubby-ish thighs, I don’t think they would come up as high as I would like. :(

They are lovely indeed. I cannot wait to see my Carrot pair soon! And my Olive Verticals!! Whoohoo! =D
BTW: I noticed the Purple Knees are back up, but the page still states that the lavender isn’t available anymore, so that the Purple Knees won’t be available when they run out. Didn’t know if that was intentional or not, so I thought I would just mention it in case it wasn’t. :)

Ooops! thanks, it’s fixed.
The feet are the same as the others, I’m an 8.5 and often do better if a smaller foot is available, but these (and the rest of the O basic variations) have enough spandex to fit smaller feet without slipping or swimming about.

I’m an 8, and the Yummies and Basics fit great and would easily do fine on smaller feet. Miss Rebeckah’s a 6.5 and I believe she doesn’t have any problems with the feet in these styles(?). In general, these socks have lots of elastic in them to fit a good range, so I think you should do fine with them. And I just got the Carrots and they’re lovely!

Thanks for the input. Now I must decide if it will be the Carrot or Blueberry?Niqkita, thank you for this site. The O Marleds have gotten me through the winter. I must now round out my collection with Gold and Black. When it’s really cold I put on a thin anklet under them and wear my Mary Janes without being cold. When I first got them I would give daily sock updates to my co workers. I have an unworn pair in Fawn in reserves just in case something happens to the rest of them.

I would say that they are just slightly brighter than the color on my monitor. (I use an iBook.) However, it’s slight enough, I think, that the actual color is not far from what I expected.

yep, I’m a 6.5 and the feets fit great! I don’t think I had to run these through the dryer either… which I do with some pairs that have big feets… I did a review on the pea oyummies on sept 4th 2006. FYI: I noticed alot of pics aren’t showing up in the archives. & also, just to mench, the small Owoolies feet also fit me great!

Ohhh those colors are sooo lush looking!!
The carrot is calling to me (vegetables often do.. tee hee), but I fear they may be knee high on my larger longer pins. I may just have to have them anyway, but was wondering if a longer version may be in future consideration.
By the way… speaking of lush colors, I just got my simones wide stripes tonight… wow… intense gorgeous color!!

I’m not sure we’ll bother with any new longer versions til later in summer… not that we won’t get more thigh highs or OTKs, just you know, we’ll be focusing more on lighter or shorter styles for as wee bit…

i am very completely madly insanely in love with the pic on the front screen for the Hot Socks knee highs…and now we need you sexy girls measurements….i wanted to buy every color but held of until i get the one pair so i can make sure they fit me as beutifully as they fit your four legs…..those t-straps- oh they are KILLING me…..and those veritcal striped stockings peeking out under the socks….my gooooooooooooodness…i do adore this pic!

I’ll see what I can do about getting measurements from the girls- do you want length? Calf width?
I can tell you that both girls are around 5′5″-5′7″ with a fairly slender build. The socks go to about mid-knee on them, so we scrunched them slightly for the photos.
I’m 5′ and slightly chunky, and my legs are 15″ from the ankle bone to the knee and 14 1/2 inches around the calf. The socks are barely OTK on me, but scrunch down to knee-high nicely. They fit me fairly snugly, but I think you could get a larger calf in there- I can stick my thumb in and pull away an inch or so.

I just received my O Yummies. Yum!My legs are a little chubby so I’ll have to scrunch them but, I will be wearing something new tomorrow. Maybe the “blueberry”.

I received my blueberrys today and they are beautiful…i was a little worried that they would be super bright but they a lovely almost navy-ish shade…there is a darker shade woven in it seems…..they are beautiful….the fit is perfect….i have size 10 feet and they fit perfectly….beautiful….really really outstanding color and fit and feel….thank you!

I think that purples are appearing brighter (redder, more purple-y than blueish) on other monitors right now because they look perfect on mine but I did notice them being lass blue on another monitor yesterday…

I got my blueberries in the other day and absolutely love them! They fit perfectly between OTK and my lower thigh (I have short legs) and only slouched a bit throughout the day, though they’re cute scrunched too. They were a bit darker and bluer than on my laptop as well, but still just as gorgeous. I hadn’t realized they were so similar in fit and feel to the O Basics or else I would have gotten a pair much sooner! Thanks for the lovely socks :).

I just got a pair and wore them all day without once pulling them up. I don’t think that has ever happened without needing garters. I loved the colour and the texture.
Just love them.
