I’M NOT SHARING!!

Normally I am willing to share nearly everything with Vel. When he came into my world, what was mine… Became ours. This especially worked with my socks. My socks = his favorite toys. I’m okay with this most of the time… But today I got my pair of Biella Niego, and like a child with a new favorite toy…
I’m not sharing!!!
–stamps foot hard on ground, crosses arms defiantly on chest—.

Even before I actually saw them, I was already smitten. I reached my hand into that gray plastic mailer with the Sock Dreams label (you know the one… As I’m sure you all get just as excited as I do when you see it in your post box)… Anyway… I reached in and before I knew what I was holding, I was melting inside because of the unbelievable fluffy silky softness my hand had grabbed hold of. I don’t remember actually taking the wrapper off them, or removing my socks and shoes… All I know is when I looked down they were on my feet and I was in heaven.
Totally a sockie delicacy… Softness that has to be felt to be understood (ohhh… Does this mean everyone is going to wanna touch my socks? Probably :O) ), and the color they call “denim” is a pastiche of lovely soft shades of muted blue, with a slightly darker edging that looks uber cute when folded down over the ankle (I think they might have intended this darker edge to be hidden, but I love the look of it showing). These are the comfort socks of the year in my book… Just like fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and biscuits on a cold winter night… These are great for bringing on that “everything’s gonna be okay” squishy warm and cuddly snuggly homey feeling of security.

Wow… I guess I really like these huh?

My size 11’s are perfectly comfy cozy in the Biella Niego, the sweet softness is truly beyond properly capturing in words, you simply must feel them to know (Like some sort of secret club… those who’ve felt the Neigos know the secret).

I can’t find a single thing to criticize about these lovely scrumptious socks. You’ve heard the term “warm fuzzies” when people describe an internal feeling of warmth, comfort and joy? Well these ARE the warm fuzzies… literally ;o)

Yes… I’m toes over heels in sock love today.

If these ever came in a thigh high version I’d probably pass out from pure joy…. even the thought of it is making me woozy.
PS… I’m wearing the Niegos with the Vertically inclined in black/charcoal. In case you haven’t tried these yet, they are really terrific. I found them to be surprisingly accomodating for larger legs (though I wish them a bit longer as they barely make it to substantial OTK length, and I could use a touch more room in foot length). They are however, quite wearable as they are and nicely covered 17″ calves and stretch to fit 20″ in top width). Love the lines!

On the table

The ones I’m most excited about here are the pretty stripes in the upper left corner. They are a wool blend made by B.ella named Midge (perhaps someday they’ll make a Niqkita~;) I’ve tested a pair this week and am eager to get them added, hopefully that’ll happen this weekend. Also up there are EG Smith Nub Nub tights because the nubby socklings have been so popular I figured we should give them a try. Camel socklings right beside them for the same reason. Yes, those skull & crossbones fingerless gloves have been on the table for awhile, I’m sure to get someone to wear them for me soon. Other than that we have some Dream styles to add or reshoot (there are a couple more just to the right of what we can see here), always a few more B.ella (they have quickly become a fav around here this year so we’ll be bringing in more & more in the months and years ahead). The fishnets are the plus sized from Music Legs, I just did a simple product shot for them because I like their label (someday we’ll get decent shots for the other colors of those, I cringe whenever I look at that page). We’re training our new hires this week. If all goes well I hope to be able to work on these things during the week instead of waiting for my weekends. I’ve been hoping that for awhile, but we just seem to get ever busier, not that I’m complaininng of course ~:) and now, off to work I go…

My brain is OATMEAL…
but my SOCKS are ADORABLE!!!

Everyone I’ve spoken with lately seems to have been touched by a recent barrage of “murphy’s law syndrome” (several days, or weeks of nothing but things going a bit wonky). I find it difficult to make any sort of decision when my brain is stressed from these goings on, and therefore it was nearly impossible to make a choice when it came to how I wanted to wear my super fantastic Crochet Net Thigh Highs today. For most of the time today I ended up wearing a different look on each leg… I simply just didn’t have the ability to chose :O)

Initally, I thought I wanted to wear the Opaque Thigh High with Bows under the Crochet Nets (I wanted to emphasize the lovely lacy pattern by showing some bright white underneath, and I thought the bows peaking out on top would be so cute). They really looked great like this… and the only minor issue I ran into was that the Opaque Thigh Highs tended to do that little ‘roll up’ thingy on top which left me looking like I was a stocking roller of the 20’s. I must say though, that the bowed thigh highs (I am wearing the plus sized) really can take on the larger legged. Alhough they didn’t quite make it in length up past my mid thigh… they happily could take on at least 26 inches in width at the top. They do seem a bit more sheer than I thought, but they really are sweet looking and the bows are totally cute. One word of caution on these, put them on gently (maybe even invest in a stocking glove (didn’t we used to sell those too?))… I never got to wear my black pair as I ripped them putting them on for the very first time (I was way over enthusiastic and clumsy).

I also tried my Plus Size Stripes Tights under the Crochet nets. The red and black stripes look really fun under the laced pattern (almost like a plaid!), and the finishing touch just had to be the pompom garters. I love this look! The Stripes tights are great on wider legs and there was lots of room in the waist and butt area (the body portion was sooo stretchy I could bring the waist up all the way to where my bra was (not like you’d ever really want to do such a thing, but nice/strange to know you could should the desire compel you)…unforturnately though they didn’t have enough leg length on me to quite reach the crotch (so if you are both taller and wider these might pose a length problem in those near and upwards of 5′9″ tall or 35″+ in leg length).

Although the two looks I tried were adorable, I ended up going with just the Crochet Nets by themselves. They look amazing on bare skin with little black ankle boots (anything you’d normally wear fishnets with will be great with these too). Sorry the pics with the boots came out icky and I didn’t want to share. Size wise, I could pull the Crochet Nets all the way up to mid thigh, but they looked much better just a little bit over the knee (the lacy pattern got too stretched out as my thigh gets wider). They looked and felt simply wonderful at the point my thigh reaches 21 inches. Oh and, did I mention that the Crochet Nets come with the sweetest little red ribbon threaded through the net? I liked mine around my ankle, but it can be worn anywhere or not at all :O)

Be my Valentine

I’ve added some lovely hot little numbers this past week including the tanga panty with pearl garters & polka dot bows. Red is the only color we can get these in but they do come in two sizes. I found them to be more for looks than function as that lace panty isn’t going to keep my stockings up by itself if I’m dancing or running around. But it sure is cute!
I ordered in the Ilanio garter belts because they were so unique I couldn’t resist them. Unfortunately, the supplier is a very small company and wasn’t able to give us a good discount so I’m charging more than they are for retail, but they’ll charge you shipping and if you are in the US we won’t (unless you want rush shipping of course) and in the end the cost os pretty close.
There is just one more VD related item I might add, but I need to get a better supplier image because I don’t feel like shooting them myself, they were an accident in the first place, but we may as well sell them, sometimes mistakes are the best surprises!
Ooops, I nearly forgot, the stockings with red bows & glitter hearts…
they totally stayed up and are at least as cute as they are cheesy
