Positions filled!

Updated 2/5/07
Yes Portland sock lovers, it’s true, we have filled the positions. But worry not, we will be in need of more help before the holidays and will be keeping your applications on file to contact first before posting a new notice for all to see, so cross your toes and keep up the good work because we just might need you yet!
Sock Dreams is in need of one or two people who love socks and are available to work 3-5 days a week in the Portland area. We already have a few interviews lined up with people who have previously contacted us regarding employment but I want to make sure we aren’t missing anyone who is local and interested.
The job is challenging and ever changing; we require that you be hard working with good people skills & attention to detail. Duties will include everything from folding socks to packaging orders. There is huge growth potential for the right people as Sock Dreams is ever growing and will be moving into a full warehouse by this summer. And, of course, you need to be comfortable in the presence of a big dog because Lola currently works six days a week and has final say in all hiring decisions.
If you are interested send us an email with a bit about why you want to work for us, why we should hire you and your resume complete with references.
If we like what we see we’ll schedule an interview.

EG I figured out the difference between the O Marled and the rest.
In rib knits there are 2 rows of knitting needles.
Long Cuffable: the spandex yarn is “laid in” in both the front and back needles.
O Marled: the spandex is “laid in” on the back rib and missed on the front 3.
I believe that because the spandex is not “laid in” totally the O Marled are able to stretch more. They could do the same for the Long Cuffable.
It’s been a long time since I studied knits. I think I got it right though.
