Socks on Sale!
We talked about adding a clearance room for a long time here at Sock Dreams. But we absolutely had to have an inventory system in place and by the time that was complete we had to focus on the holidays. So last week we finally went ahead and quietly launched it. Within moments sock addicts everywhere were ordering from it and many of you announced it here with glee, many of you wrote your praises for it in the special notes on your orders . Several of you also had questions about what is going to become of these items when we sell out and will more items be added to that room. Yes, anything that is going in there has hung out for too long and will not be coming back, and yes, more items will be added. But I am not planning on lowering all spring items in fall and vice versa, anything that we put in there will be based on our judgement, if something just isn’t moving we’ll clear it out, regardless of season or the latest trends.

As a poor university student, I must confess that I adore the clearance room. I just ordered the red ribbed M stockings, to add to my slowly-growing hoard of socks for resisting the chill as I walk to campus. The clearance-priced items might just allow me to indulge in something special… :) *longingly stares at the lace-topped striped stockings*

Not everything in the clearance room has the sale box checked on the attributes page, being one spot doesn’t automatically put it in the other. Most of them were probably items I put in the clearance room the other day. I’ll go in and fix them tomorrow…

Hmm. If I use the link from this page to the Clearance Room, I see a “room” with 14 items in it, but if I use the drop down “Clearance” from the Quick Search, I only see 7 items, and refreshing that page doesn’t do any good.

It’s because the quick search just searches for the word ‘clearance’ in the listing.

OK…I have now banned myself from the Clearance Room. LOL I’ve placed multiple orders because I’m indecisive and keep coming back to order things I put off earlier. Sockaholics Anonymous anyone? ;P

Rebeckah: No rush, I know you said it would be a while. Got really excited earlier today though cuz we got a box about the same size as I pictured the socks would come in but it was my sister’s shoes from Alloy. Last time it was a much bigger box, that’s why I figured this time it was for me.

Yeah I’m definitely excited about this! I’ll be getting some more Christmas money from my parents soon so I’ll finally get to order again!

YAY for cheaper socks! zwoot! I think it’s a great idea! I ordered superMs which I was always hesitant about and since they were half price, I thought I could risk it…. so if I like them then I’ll be newly converted & buy bunches! SO that’s prob an unforseen bonus to your clearance room? & I HAD to get the antoinettes which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! & still dream about Babylons beautiful pictures in them.. bummer that my black pair got snagged at thanksgiving. :( & Jamie-Lynn, I haven’t forgotten @ your pkg, I’m just hibernating out through the cold snap. (I told you it would take me awhile to mail it.) ;) lol. brrrrrrr.

I think it’s FANTASTIC!!!! Now, not only do I check the Journal on a daily basis… but I’m also checking the clearance room every day too. I LOVE IT!!! (and Vel thinks it’s pretty super awesome terrific too… isn’t it funny how he usually does agree with me!) :OP
