The sad tale of the Glenscheck OTK

I saw Simone in Seattle last summer, selling her stunning stockings as usual.
I had a huge order in with her already and wouldn’t have placed another,
until I saw these. We needed them! I eagerly ordered alot in anticipation of how much we were all going to fall in love and have to have a pair, or two or three. Then they showed up, only two of the three colors I’d ordered and less than a dozen of each. I put them aside thinking the rest would show up later, maybe a few weeks or a month or two. The holidays came and went with hundreds of things to deal with I kept an eye out but we never got more so I asked Simone. No she said, no more of those, we could get tights, but it would only be a few pairs at best so I skipped them and am sad because there really aren’t enough of these for me to keep a pair, yet how can I let them go? Hopefully something similar will find its way to us by next fall…

if only i could afford $50 tights, le sigh!

i have to say though for real those jonathon ashton modal tights really are fantastic and the fit and feel and stretch are devine…and i have the worst luck with tights generally…the waist band could be a little less tight but after wearing them it does stretch out a bit….

OMG! I just checked and realized the black are out of stock–and you won’t get more this year, right? Eeek! That’s what I get for waiting…

Oh yeah, one more thing: I’m thinking about warm thigh highs. I like N40s, but it looks like the only other choice right now for warm, opaque thigh highs is the cuffables and the ribbed Ms. I have a pair of ribbed Ms and I don’t like the transition on the ankle from ribbing to flat knit. From the reviews, it sounds like the cuffables are similar in that respect. What do y’all think??
