The O marled are back!

I recently discovered the glory that is the O Marled. They are soft, stretchy and ribbed. They are warm and the look gorgeous! And they stretch easily over my wide calves and at least 6 inches above my knees, where I measure approximately 20 inches. And they don’t shrink at all, even when washed in hot water. The only drawback was that there weren’t to be any more, since the supplier couldn’t get more yarn.
But then, yesterday, I saw that there were two new colours: charcoal and olive! This must mean that there will be more, all hope is not gone!

The ones I’m wearing in the picture are teal, which are gone, but I bet olive, and charcoal look just as good!
And just to show that you don’t have to be a big girl to enjoy socks, and that you don’t really need ot wear them on your feet; I give you a picture of my daughter, wearing O marled in teal and navy on her feet and Smaller footed SuperStripes in lime and navy as a scarf:

Yes yes, I noticed too, and simply could not resist. An Olive pair will be on their way to my feet shortly. ;D

  2. Eva Says:

I always stretch my socks when wet and dry them hanging.

  3. Elizabeth Says:

    Awww…your little girl is darling!

Also, I’ve been wanting to admit that I’m loving my OTK tube socks. I never thought I would say that–I had been, until now, a fan of socks with a snug, streamlined fit. I’m a black N-40s person, darn it! Still, I am enjoying wearing the tube socks under pants and in bed. Last night I slept in ordinary socks, and I really missed the snuggliness of the OTK tubes. I’m sure I’m not the only person who drifts off to sleep snuggling my feet in their socks and blankets!

OMG. O marled in SAGE? You have to be kidding me. I had all but one color, and then more colors? I must resist the urge to make another sock order until I have more cash, but I NEEEED the sage! Actually, now that I think about it I actually only have super marled in fawn and not the o marled, but that’s close enough!

  6. Sierra Says:

I wish I looked that cute in socks, shes a doll!

  7. Jamie-Lynn Says:

She is sooo cute. Not really a fan of the marled, but I think that mostly has to do with the absolute need of mine for things to match. And I also don’t like to be hot, so I’m not usually wearing socks to keep me warm and I definitely don’t wear them to sleep.

These are definitely a fav of mine, top 10 for sure. I wash all mine with the general wash in warm and run them through the dryer.
I added the new colors while Alicia was on a mini vacation and forgot that they were sage so had named them olive for a few days, but she’s back now and turned them back into sage ~:)

  9. Rebeckah Says:

wow, see, I’ve run my browns thru the dryer 3 times now, and the toes are still wide on my 6.5s. uh… I just measured and they’re 26 inches toes to top, but I ordered a small, and the invoice says small. So I’m sure I got a large by mistake since those are listed at 26 inches… & small at 23″. that explains my unhappy foot problems. again.

  10. Eva Says:

Yes, unfortunately the navy is a little too close to black for my taste too; they do look black next to the lime.

  11. Laura Says:

Sarah, I have the same problem with the feet in a few of my socks too and I’m a size 8. So far it’s only the stripes (I have a pair of white knees and neopolitan stripes) that I notice have very, very wide feet that not even repeated runs through a hot wash and dryer can fix. : (

EG, I agree with what you say there. I’ll try and do a post but I’m off for xmas at dads this weekend. This was a looooong holiday season this year. ….{Gretzky is such a great name for a dog!} :)
