Like glittering stars on a dark night

If the sky had been purple instead of midnight blue. I think the sparkly fishnet thigh highs are just amazing, they make your legs look like something from a fairly tale.
Here I am wearing them with purple tights, but I think thigh highs would be even sexier, and these come in purple too.
Not that they have to be purple, dark blue or black would be amazing, and why not try the white variety with some lighter colours, or white?
Having tights or other stockings under them is a good idea, not only for the visual effect, but lurex yarn can be a little itchy. Having tights under make them stay up better too. Not that that seem to be much problem with these, they stayed up well. On plump thighs, like mine, there will be a dent, but nothing uncomfortable, and not very deep either.

    very nice looking.

  2. Bailey Says:

I love those desperately, but I’m not sure how a fourteen-year-old girl would be conceived with fishnet, let alone SPARKLY ones ):

  3. Mary Says:

Ah, so are you wearing the black thigh highs in the picture? Drats, I thought they had come out with new colors.

  4. Mary Says:

Oh, the technicolors and the eyeballs!!!!! :D!!! If only it weren’t the holiday season, I might afford some! They are beauties, though!

  5. Bailey Says:

PS, how far do the tops stetch to? =/

  6. shelleopard Says:

I lurve the sparkly fishnet thigh highs! Great for the holidays, too!

  7. Eva Says:

No, I must admit *hangs head in shame*, that I used some nylon tights I had lying around from before SD came into my life.

  8. Rebeckah is sobering up after Thanksgiving Says:

I love the sparkly nets so much I have a handful of pairs. I love all the sparkley stuff. :)))) &it’s great for the holidays. These really do look like purple nets, it’s a cool effect & pretty picture. You captured the sparkles well, and that’s hard to do.

  9. Rebeckah Says:

oh geez, I wanted to comment that I get dents in my 17″ thighs, so my opinion is that denting has more to do with muscle tone than actual width of thigh. & probably the tightness of the band too.? In many of Niqs pics I don’t see alot of denting & with the same stocking I see a bulge-y roll on my legs. & I think her thighs are bigger than 17″, but they’re way more muscular than mine. so there’s a million dollar opinion.

  10. EG Says:

These look sooo pretty on you! I’ve wanted a pair of these since they first came out… gotta get me some soon :O) I Just love sparkly things!!

  11. Babylon Says:

the sparkly fishnets look so good over the purple. awesome :)

  12. Eva Says:

You wanna know the real reason for wearing tights under the nets? Yes, it’s cold, but not that cold, 10 c and it’s not far to my job. But I couldn’t be bothered to shave my legs ;)

  13. Rebeckah Says:

ahahahaha the truth’s out now! lol :) I think that’s half the goodness of wearing long socks in the winter. ;)

  14. Babylon Says:

that’s why I like long socks ;) lol

  15. EG Says:

funny… I actually need to wear long socks for the opposite reason. After I shave my legs… Vel gets obbessed with licking them (the little vampire), he chases me around the flat with one mission… lick those legs. So often my long socks are “vampire protection” when my legs are freshly shaved. :O)

  16. EG Says:

OMG… those large cuff gloves are so gorgeous!! WOWOWOWOW!

  17. EG Says:

OMG… those large cuff gloves are so gorgeous!! WOWOWOWOW!

  18. Shannon Says:

I NEED the long stripe gloves in camel and grey! And those large cuff gloves are pretty too!

  19. Gloria Says:

Niq, I usually don’t read the Toronto Sun, but I saw an interview with you in it today (re: the sexiness of socks)! So exciting!

  20. Niqkita Says:

It’s up??? I have to go see. When we first got the call I thought it was my dad prank calling me because I was told “there’s a Canadian writer on the phone who wants to talk to someone about socks being not being sexy” and my dad would do something just like that because he is a Canadian writer with a wicked sense of humor ~;)

  21. Gloria Says:

It’s funny … I was just glancing over the article, thinking, “Well, maybe some socks aren’t sexy … but Dream socks? Definitely.” And then your name appeared.

  22. EG (with Vel sleeping at her toes) Says:

Grrrrrr… they titled the article “socks and the city”…. I was planning on using that title (”sox and the city” actually) as a review post here in January. I even put up a Craigslist ad to find manhattan based sock dreams fans who wanted to help. I thought I’d surprise you all with a photojournal of a day around the city with unofficial sock dreamers wearing their fav sock dreams socks in fun places like the statue of liberty and empire state building, etc… but no one answered the craigslist post, and now Toronto sun has taken my title. and well now I’ve just given it all away haven’t I? Oh poo. what is it they always say about it being the thought that counts? :O)

  23. EG Says:

maybe i’ll just have to re-post that craigslist ad and do it anyway then :O) there MUST be lots of sock-girls in the city here.

  24. heidi Says:

    mmm… mitten fetish… :D

  25. Tanya Says:

    mitten fetish…huh..

  26. Rebeckah Says:

EG you should still do the post it sounds fun. That would make a great coffee table book too!

  27. EG Says:

Yes, I do think I’m going to work on it after the holidaze. And for any of you sock lovers located in my little city here (manhattan), shout out an email addy and I’ll contact you in January :O)

  28. Mantooth Says:

We’re having a New Year’s party where the theme is “In Space”…as in OUTER space. I purchased two pairs of the black, sparkle fishnets and purple/red opaque thigh highs for my girlfriend and other female friend. Hooot! Blast off!
