Not your dad’s old army socks!

We’ve been carrying our military boot socks in black and green for a few years now and have been getting alot of praise and requests for more colors the whole time.
But it wasn’t until earlier this year that we decided to pursue the dream of a more colorful selection. For now it’s just pastels, but we’ll work on getting more…
so in true ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ fashion we’d appreciate if you don’t ask us when,
because we can’t tell you ~;)
Here’s what we can tell you:
they come in more sizes than most of our socks
they stay up really well on most people
they have thick terry cushioning around the soles, toes & heels
…drier feet with fewer blisters will result from miles of marching
or hiking, or sleeping, or horsing around on a cool fall day with your best buddy
~ and you still don’t have to join an army to wear our Sock Dreams Military socks ~

I’m a fan of the Flat Knit Knee Highs (or is it OTK?) and the KBell’s OTK’s, both are soft like t-shirts and really comfy with awesome stay up power.

  2. Niqkita Says:

Digamba, neither the InkLines or O Chevrons are our stretchier styles, in fact they are perhaps our least stretchy. As Krystal says the Military socks are comfy on larger calves and so are mnany of our other styles. Have you tried the O Basics yet? We have quite a few styles that should work well for you…

  3. Krystal Says:

My military boot socks are the comfiest socks I have from SD. They are cushiony, soft, and they don’t pinch my larger calves which is a huge bonus, because pinches = hives for me.

  4. digamba Says:

Krystal, amen on the pinched calves. I have a nice pair of green ink-lined and a pair of O-chevrons, both of which I’ve worn exactly once because they pinch my calves so badly. If anyone wants to buy them gently used (hand-washed, of course), email me. I’m wary of buying any more long socks now because I can’t tell from the description if they’ll fit my muscular calves. :(

Haha. UTK. I like that! Did you make it up, Sierra? : ) I vote for slouchy socks! They are so comfy, too, as well as colorful!

  6. Mary Says:

Ah yes! I thought those were called super stripe knee highs or something like that. Guess I was wrong. How would the sock fit my size 9ish feeties?

  7. shelleopard Says:

Slouch Socks! Slouch Socks! Slouch Socks! The Super Knees would work nicely, too. I wouln’t go for the M Squareds unless your mum has very thin calves, as they’re much more comfortable on my wee calves scrunched down. Something like the K Bell Striped OTKs would work well, too, as they’re easily knee-high on longer legs, they breathe and stay up well, and they’re thin but cushy.

  8. Michelle Says:

Sierra: Would the slouch socks work maybe? They tend to be right at the knee for me, so maybe it’s too long for your Mom but I love how they’re so soft and comfy. Plus, they come in a *zillion* color choices. ha ha ha ;)

  9. Amanda Says:

Speaking of many sizes, any chance of smaller-footed Super Knees? The heel doesn’t look quite as good when it’s on the back of my leg.

  10. Mary Says:

    **What are super knees?**

  11. Mary Says:

These look oh so comfy (and durable!), the colors and length remind me a lot of the Cotton Slouch Socks.

  12. Amanda Says:

Super knees are like super stripes except knee high! They’re fabulous except for the fact that my poor little size sevens only fill about half the allotted foot area. Excellent for the large-footed.
