Guest review from a Socklings lover

You know it’s autumn in the midwest when you suddenly go from 100+ degrees during the day to having to wear a jacket in the morning because it’s below 60 when you leave for work in the morning. Autumn also equals horrible arthritis weather, so long socks are a very, very, very happy thing.
It was 55 degrees when I checked the weather this morning, and my first thought was “I should wear M Stripes today”. So I did — my pair of grey on grey MStripes, even. And then I pondered what would happen once I got to work and began to freeze, and I added my pair of Space-Dyed Socklings in Moonrock over the top. I’m happy to report that my feet stayed warm all day, and my knees did not ache as they normally do with the cold.
I’m six feet tall, even, and I have legs the size of tree trunks, so I have to cuff my M Stripes down to just over my kneecaps in order for them to stay up and not cut off all circulation in my legs. Even though they don’t exactly fit, I still love them to death because they generally stay up around my knees all day, even with slippage involved. My space-dyed socklings barely come up to mid-calf, but what do I care? They’re happy in ways that cannot be described in mere words.
Of course, my pretty ensemble of grey socks clashed horribly with my purple shirt. And this is the way I go about life — wear normal clothes and wild socks that never match my outfit. :)

Don’t feel bad, Mstripes are too tight on my 19 inch thighs, and I also wear them cuffed as an OTK. They could probably be 6 inches shorter, and it wouldn’t really matter, they’d still be a great OTK.

Yeah, the Mstripes are long enough to go all the way up my legs, but that’s not going to happen on my 25 inch thighs. I use them as an OTK as well. :)

The MStripes are about 40 inches long, but they’ll come up to mid-thigh on me if… well… my legs weren’t so big around. So I cuff/roll about 6 inches of the total length down so they rest about 3 inches above my knees. :)

m stripes are… (shuffling while i get out my tape measure) 40 inches from toes to cuffs. i just bought a pair of the red/kellies myself. can’t wait until yule to wear them about… :D

How long are the M stripes? It looks like they are almost knee highs on you, perhaps it is because you are so tall?
