Hooked on socks

These remind me of a certain thigh high that we haven’t been able to restock for ages… Opaque knee highs with metal hook & eyelet backseams. They have lots of stretch so small legs and larger legs alike should be able to enjoy these and if I tried I could get them over my knees, but because of the hooks that wasn’t comfortable.
One other thing about the hooks, they will catch on lace, fishnet and the like, so dress and sit accordingly!
Just one more thing to make you feel uber sexy on warm summer or autumn nights!

ugh!!!! new buzzwoed “uber”
September 2nd, 2006 at 8:37 am
bah. uber is German for more {than} or super. Niq was just impressing us with her mad bilingual skills. But *buzzwoed* could be a new trend. snicker.

no, seriousely, I wasn’t trying to impress anyone. I believe it may be a buzzword, it just hasn’t gotten around much but I picked it up from a friend who works for a marketing company in OC (Orange County, Ca, I am originaly from LBC ~ Long Beach Cali myself). Since then I’ve heard others use it here in Portland and I’m fairly certain it has been in use elsewhere, I mean, there are alot of Germans roaming around this country & Canada. I just think it’s a cute useful word, then agan, I think mas is useful I think it more than I say it, and will often state caliente or picante to someone to clarify what I mean by hot when I take a bite of food, so yeah, that’s me, the mad trilingual ~;)

we’ve been saying uber for more than five years around these parts…it’s certainly not a “new buzzword.” In fact, it went out of trendy fashion and now only the ubercool can say it, see? :P *snicker*

Uber is in the Oxford English dictionary, so apparently it’s become an accepted word in the english language. I love the dictionary ;)

So, what do you think about a thirteen-year-old wearing fishnets? Bad? Whatever?
September 2nd, 2006 at 6:07 pm
When I was 13 it was awesome - I love it…. now that I am older… and theoretically wiser.. bad…bad idea….
September 2nd, 2006 at 9:39 pm
yeah, we recently discussed this upon seeing an 8 year old’s version of “fishnets”. They were less fishnetty and supposedly more innocent, but I’m afraid I had the same reaction. In a perfect world we could all wear what we want when we want to, but it doesn’t always work in reality. Though I’m not sure I see anything wrong with a 13 year old wearing fishnet arm warmers…

and many thanks Chris! it’s been a wild ride in fantasyland in a way and now I have not one, but six helpers and I actually get to take days off and spend them in my garden… though I feel guilty for not spending the day working on sock pictures. I’ve just got to get outside and move things around sometimes ~:)

Thanks everyone. It’s good to have people other than my mom say it’s a bad idea xD
September 3rd, 2006 at 7:42 am
…..maybe.. it was younger, does anyone else remember it?
September 3rd, 2006 at 8:54 am
Yup, I remember the “youth thong” flap. LOL I think it died a quick death. I suppose if a parent *really* wants their child to wear thong underwear, they will buy the adult thongs. ::shakes head:: The world has lost its mind. :/

Well I’m 15, and the only fishnets I would wear would have to be pink or blue, like the fishnet pantyhose. Certainly not black though, pink seems much..nicer.
