Summer shadows & socks

Every so often we get letters from people who want advice on which knee socks or thigh highs to wear in a hot climate…
not fishnets though, and sometimes it has to be cotton.
So while I was lounging around with my O Chevrons hoisted well over my knees enjoying the late afternoon warmth I thought I’d ask you which you like best and why. Besides the above mentioned O Chevrons with their lace-like details I like the M Squared which also have a lace-like texture in cotton with enough spandex to stay up while walking round on hot days. Your turn…

ARGH! Cheryl, you are so right, those are the same shade of charcoal on the white details page ~:( I’ll fix that just as soon as I can, gasp…

I’m wearing my lilac O Pastels right now. My mother thinks I’m crazy, but they don’t seem too hot. It says that the O Pastels are a lighter knit than the regular O Basics, so that might have something to do with it.

Okay, maybe they look a tad different on black details page, but I’m having a hard time really seeing the difference. Is it possible to get a side by side comparison? The Grey w/White in the A Chevrons looks so much lighter. Maybe it’s just the lighting in all the pictures?

well, my O chevrons kept my feet nice and comfy at my concert last monday so they make a nice summer sock, but yesterday(aug. 1st) the high temperature at the closest weather station to me was recorded at 38°C (100.4°F) with a humidex(heat index for USers) of almost 50°C (about 120°F) *death* …it makes you start saying things like I didn’t know Canada was located on the equator and you worry about your socks possibly spontaniously combusting lol

i wear my o basics during hot weather. they never seem to bother me as they’re not too thick. and pretty much all of the knees socks (sherbet stripes top the list for HOT weather but all the other knees are well-represented). and, of course, lately the neopolitan stripes have been out and about pretty often. they are such a slim sock and sooooo summery. oh, and rainbow anything… :D
