In or Out
I recently read on a supposedly ultra fashionable site that stripes & fishnet were out!
Can you imagine? two timeless classics out? I say hurrah! I’m not into being in, I’m into being me. And thankfully, so are most of our customers. We’re not fashion followers, were fashion leaders, even if only in our own cozy worlds. Our delightful Director of Customer Correspondence, Daffodil, was seeking a topic for our Myspace blog the other day and I mentioned that so she posted it and all the feedback affirms that we are not alone in our love for these two. In fact, I’ve long been a fan of putting them together so when someone said that the two together were “just weird enough to work” I made a mental note to feature that soon and sure enough, within days I found myself craving fishnets over my stripes, so here I am wearing the Fancy fishnet knee highs over the Centered BIG striped OTKs. They slipped down a few times throughout the day, the OTKs becoming knee highs and the fishnets looking like midcalfs, a simple tug over the knees with the cotton tops of my stripes put everything back in its place for awhile. I find I like the ribbons on these knee highs left untied and was even thinking about tying some beads on to them for extra dangle.

there is this little five-year-old girl at the place i rent movies who always (and i mean ALWAYS) comes over to me to check out my socks when i come in. every single time i’ve worn my fishnets she runs her hands over them (ankles to knees or so ’cause she’s sitting on the floor) and tells me they’re “so pretty”. she’s decided that of all of my colours so far, the purple are the prettiest.

Awww! What site was it that said stripes+fishnet are ‘out’? Stripes and fishnets will ALWAYS be in.

oh wow man. I don’t do much on MS cuz it feels SO fake and way too inappropriately sexual. Sometimes it’s like being virtually molested. But since Daffodil is managing it I’ll have to start participating over there now…. of course it may have to wait until after the craziiness of moving is over in August. GAH!

Oh wow, niq! You saved it? I had some medical emergancies (including one that sent me to the hospital with a VERY nasty bill tacked on :( and have been unable to scrounge up enough cash to pay for it. I was meaning to write you all, I had it on my mind the day I went to the doctor, but it just never worked out. If you guys hold on to it just a little while longer, I’ll make SURE you guys get moolah (with some extra to thank you all for your incredible customer service!)
