Big girl with big stripe
When I first saw Niq model the Centered Big Stripe OTK I fell in love. I watched as some other more petite sock lovers showed off their pics and thought to myself “they’ll never get over my knees”. In truth, I can tug them up over my knees, they won’t stay there… But I can technically get em there. The reality of the situation is that these gorgeous richly vibrant socks just wanna sit right on the lower half of my knee. There are other socks that stretch easily and intentionally right over the knees of legs as ample as mine, but these just fall nicely and naturally “on” my knees… Bringing them up any higher just distorts the proper “give” of the sock on someone of my legitude. And that’s okay. These are such great socks, that they still look amazing even just sitting on my knees. These Never did fall down under my knees either (which is a very good good thing).
These are made of 85% cotton, which gives them a yummy touchable feel and a nice cool breathability that is perfect for the hotter days we’re having in NYC right now.
There are those times when you can instantly tell if a pair socks is of good quality… you know, when you first put them on. That’s how it is with these. The moment you slip your toes into a pair you may just think you hear your little piggies sigh an bitty thank you.
And did I mention the best part???
YES!!! A heel that is truly on my heel :O)

I really like the fit of these too. I got the light green/rose mix and they’re so soft and stretchy. I’ve got 16.5″ calves too but my legs are *much* shorter than EG’s. ;) The socks pretty much come to rest around my knees though. I tried them w/ sock garters and it works well to keep them a bit higher.

cute!!! and they fit the feets, yayyy! I want a pair of these so badly, but haven’t snagged ‘em yet (I, too, figured that they’d end up under the knee on me). :)

EG what are your measurements? It seems like a lot of the time when I put on socks, they stretch out so the colors turn all ugly and whitish. It’s a big problem for me.
