More stripes from Simone

On the same day that I found our amazingly comfy striped sleeves I saw samples for these gorgeous OTKs. The only problem was that not enough “buyers” had bought them so the colors I wanted most were not going to be produced, unless…
if I got 100 pairs I could get any of them I liked…
(this number would be *much* higher if I requested completely different combos).
So I put in my order for five colors in two sizes:
Small: Euro 35-38 (US Women’s 5-8ish) and Large: Euro 39-42 (US women’s 9-11ish).
They arrived Wednesday morning…

The tops should stretch to at least 21 inches and they will fit nicely around your feet and ankles. of course quality comes at a price, but after wearing them for a couple of days I think they are worth it!

When pulled all the way up they were midthigh on me, but tended to stay a couple of inches above my knees needing to be pulled up from time to time. Though they never actually dropped below my knees, I do think they might if I run around more (I’ll be testing that out today). They have nice cuffable tops and would look & stay up even better with some sock garters ~;)

we put No Fray on our buttoned garters and occassionally other brands, you’re right, burning the buttonhole elastic does not work at all, much to my dismay.

you can use this stuff called fray-check, or else fabric-tac. It’s like a glue and it dries clear. well, for that matter I guess you could use any glue, but I think this fray check stuff is machine washable.

    I second fray-check. :)

I must have the rose and green ones!!! I like the violet and orange also though… it’ll have to wait a bit since I just made an order >.< hehe

Depending on the type of material, you might also burn the edges to keep them from fraying, but that could be scratchy and uncomfortable, and probably wouldn’t look too good on anything light colored. I’ve found that works great on the sock garters that shelleopard makes, but not at all on the ones Niqkita makes. ;)

    …if that helps you decide.

Babylon, my thighs are almost 23 inches at the widest point and i would want nothing smaller than the large in the “holey footless tight thingies.”

Oh Niq that outfit is so cute I could burst!!!

  15. Niq Says:

a zigzag stitch would also work, though it may cause them to hang a bit differently…
