Purple Dreams

Fuzzy side out dark purple dreamy striped tubes with their tops folded back down and lilac slouch socks covering my feet feel dreamy on chilly mornings & evenings. I used to hate tube socks but have grown quite fond of them this past year. People have’t been buying as many of the dark dream tubes as the other styles/colors and Alicia has threatened to not order more when we run out so if you love these as much as I do you better order some while you can ~;)

My experience of UPS is dreadful. Dropped a “we tried to deliver” card, told the seller they’d delivered, and then never showed up for any rescheduled appointments to deliver. Told me to go to the depot – an hour’s drive each way – which had impossible and unpredictable opening hours with no parking. And the seller thought I was trying it on because she’d been told the package had been delivered safely. Never again!

Ohhh, and ten dollars delivery plus potential 30-50% taxes and service charges plus what looks like a $7 or $19.45 brokerage fee depending on package cost makes the incidental costs of being overseas distinctly non-trivial :(

geez, I had no idea UPS was so bad in other countries ~:(
I won’t even consider FedEx and laugh whenever I see their commercials, if only they were as awesome as they’d like us to believe but I’ve had numerous issues with them.
So all in all US postal still seems like our best bet here and afar…

Wow ….I’ve never had problems with UPS or with USPS here, I think it probably depends who your actual delivery person is? Although apparently the USPS delivery person here has taken to throwing my packages over fences… not too bad with socks, but I order a lot of other things that are breakable >.

purties…i like the dark ones, too, but am in a spot of non-OTK rebellion at the moment (it’s likely just the weather and the constant wearing of jeans, so don’t attack me, EG). ;)

  6. Shannon Says:

The tubes don’t fit my legs very well or I’d buy more because they really are pretty…=(

Going by the comments here, I’m glad I live in the same city as Sock Dreams; I’ve never had to wait more than two days after ordering before I have lovely new socks. :D

  8. shelleopard Says:

heehee, yeah, um…it’s not a PERMANENT rebellion (tries in vain to stuff multiple pairs of OTKS and THS out of sight)! :D

  9. Jamie-Lynn Says:

That’s so odd to me because I LOVE the dark dreamy tubes. The blues ones are awesome and I plan on picking up the yellow ones soon. Still not sure about the purple or greens since I’m not sure if I have stuff to wear them with but I LOVE the dark ones much better than the light.

  14. Babylon Says:

ewww UPS! please warn people of the delivery fees UPS charges, because you might have a lot of POed people when they see that $pendy brokerage fee.

  15. Babylon Says:

oh and didja get my email? lol

  16. Babylon Says:

oh an ok on the order thing, I wont start slapping around the mailbox as early then ;)

  17. Niq Says:

Hmmm, good to know! we’ll look into that, EMS is pretty costly and UPS said thy were comparable with US airmail, but so far it isn’t working as smoothely as they said it would which is why we haven’t started using them just yet…

  18. Babylon Says:

awww but I just bought a ton of stuff. I need to win the lottery lol
