Snuggley Sunday

The rain finally stopped, but it isn’t warm yet…
Lavender O Basics with lilac slouch socks nestled into comfy boots with a warm coat allowed me to wear shorts without catching a chill. The O Basics aren’t always as thick as I’d like, but they fit so well and are such a great price that I don’t mind layering when I want a little more sock around my feet. And the slouch socks are the perfect layer, with so many colors between the two the options are many.
I’m slowly but surely making progress in getting all the colors shot and added to the site and with this nice weather planned for the next week I’m looking forward to being able to do more of the O Basics outside. O Chevrons are nearly done, I just need to finish editing those, InkLiNed are being done this week too and I managed to get some of the new stuff shot last night, they’ll be added in the coming days…
In other news, I’ve hired someone to be our fulltime office manager/customer service type person, she starts in two weeks. Once she is trained and competently knowledgeable we’ll start actively taking phone orders for those who are not comfortable ordering online or are having trouble placing an order. She will also be a huge help to us in keeping up with the many emails & questions we get which, in time, will free me up to do the things I love doing with more sanity than I’ve had the past several months…
I can hardly wait!

More happy memories

After nearly three years of selling our beloved Sweater socks & leg warmers we are just about out. We sold the last of the leg warmers last month, the last of the natural sweater socks last week and are down to about 5 dozen of the white, the last of the last, expected to last maybe a month, maybe more, maybe less…
We can’t get more because the company we bought these from went out of business years ago and sold us all the stock we could find space for at the time, it’s hard to believe we are down to just one small box of them. They will not be forgotten though and as we get opportunities to buy more & more interesting textures and patterns I’m sure we will eventually get something just like these…

Looking back…

I took (& first posted) this picture nearly three years ago
shortly after we got the first batch of Allthere toesocks
I’m still amazed by how comfy these toe socks are
even now that they are called Toetoe instead of Allthere
these are the knee high version, which we were only able to get in navy the first time around. I need to take some new pictures so that we have actual photos of the black knee highs, but I didn’t want to delay adding them to the site so I doctored the images I already had. I’ll have to make Phranq pose with me again too…
just for fun.
Best damn toesocks ever!
ankle highs
midcalves
striped knee highs
solid knee highs
(solid knee highs are longer than the striped)

Quack, quack!

It was a lovely day today, nice and warm, so I had an excuse to wear my new Foot Traffic Duckies!

When I got these in the mail, I squeaked, and when my coworker squealed at my ankles today, I knew exactly why. :) These little yellow guys are there to brighten your day as they peek out between your pant legs and shoes with wings outstretched and quaker ready. Their little red bow ties keep them all dressed up and ready to go with you wherever! Best of all, the stretch on these is soooo comfortable and ample. They slid right on with no problem, and even though the heel did end up more in the middle of my foot, I had to look to be able to tell, as they seemed to fit perfectly! They’re really superbly comfortable and would do well on larger feet and ankles where graphics and woven patterns sometimes lose their beauty in the stretch. The Duckies will go the distance and not lose a feather of cuteness.

WOW.

That’s what I said when the new Cashmere Blend OTKs from Hot Sox made it all the way over my knees, AND STAYED THERE.

Boy, do I mean stayed there. They stayed there through my: checking email, reheating dinner, flopping around in bed reading a magazine, tossing and turning in my sleep, a trip to the bathroom, more snoozing, and, FINALLY, one inched to just below my knee and the other to right ON my knee after the second trip to the bathroom. No lie. :) So if you love soft, scrumptious socks that fit large feet fine and long legs even better, these are for you! No doubt you’re wondering if they were tight, since they stayed up so well. Amazingly, no! They did make a bit of a dent in my not-very-toned over-the-knee area, but it wasn’t too bad and went away quickly after a bit of wear. They felt wonderful, not snug at all, and I was astounded at their stay-up power! I hope we can get more colors in, ‘cuz these are my new OTK faves!
