better late…

So, last weekend we promised you purple-legged spideys, and although the shipping took more than twice as long as it was supposed to (not my fault!!!), we have them now! Not quite in time for Halloween, but you love them anyway, right? ;)

Just like the regular Spider Garters, but with plump purple leggies! They have been well instructed to “dangle to the left, dangle to the right, dangle…’til they just can’t stand it!” They’ll gladly do this below or above your knees! Let’s see them at work:

Ooh, dangly! Hmm, I wonder…are we ALL gonna post our halloween costumes/outfits tomorrow?? ;)
Happy Halloween Eve!

Are we STILL out of sock of ( insert sock name here)?

As many of you have noticed we have been running out of many of the M socks items of late. It’s not that we are not getting in more stock… we are, only what once lasted us a month is only lasting us a day now. Some styles fly off the shelves by the dozen as soon as we post them online. It is great that we are growing and that so many of you all adore all of our American made ( by a fantastic small family run mill) socks. We are restocking as often as possible and in larger and larger quantities. I am hoping that by the end of December/ early January we will be fully stocked in all the styles and in all the colors. If there is something you are really wanting, at this point, your best bet is going to be checking everyday and seeing if your item is in stock and grabbing it while you can.

We will be ordering more M 100 and 200 inch longsocks as promised. I still have the info for those of you interested in the special order 300 inchers as seen below- If any one else would like to get a custom pair made in any color and foot size you will need to email xilia@sock-dreams.com no later than next Thursday @ 5 pacific time.

With all the swimming in socks we do all day, you would think the last thing on my mind would be more socks once I ventured away from sockland, yet I found myself admiring some argyle socks while between Photofaye shoots today. Being on a cute boy no doubt is what helped me notice them. That and the fact that they were underneath the WHITEST Chucks I have ever seen actually on someones feet and not in a box. Of course I was a dork and got a snap! :) And just so everyone knows….we do NOT sell those particular color of argyles here… I thought it would be nice to feature them for today so we can’t not run out of them!!!!! :P)

candy corn!!!!!

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE candy corn (but only the kind made with honey, mmm-mm)! I especially like to break off the white parts and stick ‘em on my canines like some kind of sugar-vampire. It’s sweet, fun, and utterly silly, but not nearly as comfortable as these Feelmax Over-the-Knee Toesocks!

A definite favorite of mine year-round, they’re especially nifty around this time. They fit soo well, have very slight ribbing (don’t worry, it doesn’t show like the longsocks‘) which is absolutely comfy and keeps them on your feet. They’re a tube style, and so fit feet of various sizes without complaint. They make it up over my knee and mostly stay there. These work equally well with nice heels and chunky boots. Lots of love for the Feelmax OTK Toesocks. Now, everybody, put candy corn on your teeth and SMILE!!!

I match the carpet!

I’ve always loved to layer socks because my toes are always so cold. Now thanks to Sock Dreams my toes can be both warm *and* fashionable. In this shot (that my friend snuck while I was laying on the floor of my studio) I’m wearing the cotton slouch socks with the skater stripes on top, scrunched down a bit (I’ll usually wear the slouch socks on top though).

The slouch socks are such great staples to have (and for the price you can stock up on a variety of gorgeous colors!). They stay up nicely at my knees and as the name implies, have good slouch-ability too. The skater stripes are just an all-around comfy, lightweight sock…not too clingy but not loose either. And as a person that tends to wear a lot of black, I like having that little punch of color to break up the darkness and brighten things up.

The two tone skater stripes in orange paired with the tangerine slouch sock is a great combo for Halloween :)

Is it Halloween yet?

nope, one more week to go…
but if you haven’t ordered the socks, tights, legwarmers, gloves or anything else to go with your costume you better hurry because the parties are coming up fast! in fact, you better splurge for 2 Day Express if you want to be guaranteed of getting them in time because while we send nearly every order out within 24 hours (and have been working overtime in our efforts to do so) the post office doesn’t always come through for us. Lost packages are rare, but we hear about delayed packages nearly every week, so don’t take any chances!
The cute spider garters with purple legs were a gift to me from miss Shelleopard, my sample pair, but they really are awful cute so she whipped out a little batch for a few other lucky people, hopefully they’ll get here early this week, though I see nothing wrong with dressing up for the entire month of November, why not liven up these shortening dreary days?

Fairy nice…

A little out of character, I combined the lovely Light Pink & White dreaM Stripes with Striped Feet with a pair of the Sheer Stripe Thigh Highs in Baby Blue (topped off with a pair of pink/baby blue rosebud garers, a sample used for pics; we don’t carry them). I scooted the sheer stripes (more of a thigh high) down to alternate with the dreaM stripes (more of a high OTK on me), making the white stripes a light baby blue.

The effect was subtle and gorgeous! I would definitely suggest layering the sheer stripes over one of the dreaM stripes; just think of the combinations! The Sheer Stripes come in Black, Baby Pink, and Baby Blue, and the dreaM stripes (once restocked, many are currently OOS) come in a rainbow of color duos. I think the two would make a beautiful addition to a fairy costume! Remember, Halloween’s just around the corner, and we have LOTS of goodies to help you win that costume contest! ;)

Socks for a cause

Hey, guys, I made it back from the Aids Walk in Los Angeles, having walked all 6.2 miles (10km) in my pair of Venus Red space-dyed socklings! I was a fashionable walker, thanks to you all, so here’s a pic I took in the hotel of my sockie feet and my Aids Walk shirt. :)
And, also, I wore the Sherbet Stripes all the way to the West Wing — set, that is. We had a visit with actor John Spencer in his trailer on the West Wing set, and I was ubercomfortable and stylish in my favorite socks. :D
(Long live Sock-Dreams, and long may you all plunder my wallet!)

What a happy way to end the week!
I love when people share their sock adventures with us ~:)
~especially when they include useable pictures.

Attack!!!!

Let your self be attacked by the total sharky cuteness of these Shark Socks. They are so unique and to top it off really comfy ( I am not sure how the little puffy shark fins would do in a boot though)! Aside from going on about how cute I think these look there is not really much else I can say for these as they pretty much speak for themselves…

(No Shark Socks were harmed in the making if this GIF)

Oh, YEAH, baby!

The shagalicious shag slipper socks are so soft and wonderful!

Legale rarely disappoints, and these are no exception. With their long, plush “fur,” they pamper your feet and perhaps even your floors! ;) They’re very stretchy and easily fit my size 12 feet, becoming more of a bootie on me than on Niqkita, as you can see.

These were soft and and soft and soft and not as sweltering as some of the fuzzy socks out there. In fact, these would be an oh-so-comfy choice for any costume requiring shaggy feets! ;) Bonus: they complemented my leg hair nicely. :D

Toasty Tuesday toes

These are the Sol Socks midweight fleece tabis.
There is also a lightweight that comes in a few different colors, hopefully I’ll be able to add them in tonight.
But having tried all three these midweights are my favorites, they are half again thicker than the lightweight version (the midcalf is lightweight). The fit is really nice, both the small & medium fit my 8.5ish feet, but I think I prefer the mediums. I’m going to wash some tonight and see about shrinkage and fluff. The lightweights especially look like they could use a washing to fluff them up. Not only do these make it possible to wear flip flops in cold weather but I find they make a great slipper too! no, they don’t have anything grippy or water resistant on their soles, but they are so thick that they will actually stand up on their own (check out the second image on their page).
Okay, time to head out the door & go to work…
