Brightening up a gloomy day

I’ve been playing in the leaves outside all day in my neon yellow M40s, and they kept me nice and warm while also looking quite adorable (if I do say so myself) paired with a black sweater & skirt. I was able to comfortably pull them up the entire length of my legs and then some. I didn’t have any trouble keeping them up when I had the top ribbing folded down to about mid-thigh, even when I was leaping into giant piles of leaves in the neighbor’s yard ;) My toes even had plenty of wiggle room in the feet. I think they’re best described as a warm, fluffy comfort sock.

I’m SO happy with the M40s. Neon yellow is a color I’d normally think twice about getting, but it’s absolutely gorgeous and you’re guaranteed to turn heads in them.

Yummy!

I kid you not, I was wearing that exact outfit when I opened my package from Sock Dreams and unexpectedly found the sherbert stripes :) (Sorry for the hair & lens in the shot).

The colors are AMAZING! These socks are true eye candy. I’ve worn them three times already and kept getting asked multiple times where I got the cute socks. Even the girl who develops my film was asking me where she could get a pair and flashed me her cute mismatched socks under her pants. I was able to pull them up a few inches above my knees. They’re pretty much the same as the pink & green knees…I’m a big fan of the looser fit, though after I washed them they fit more to my liking.

The warm colors really do remind me of summer, but the oranges also go nicely with the falling leaves of the up-coming autumn!

A little feedback for our weekend

Some of these made me smile all the way to my toes…
some made me laugh…
Thank you I love my socks and tights! The only problem is that our whole apt is now a mess, since I had to drag out all my clothes to try them on with my exciting new legwear. And there are way too many great combinations. Took me hours on your site to pick out what I wanted and now it’s taking me hours to figure out which ones to wear with what tonight!!! I’m having more fun with my clothes than I’ve had since I was in college (and that’s 25 years plus).
I mostly only shop in thrift stores and Ross, but that doesnt’ work for socks and tights (my last tights that I bought were some organic cotton ones in my grocery store!) so it was really exciting to find your site.
Thanks again,

Hello!
Just wanted to let you know that I received my lovely socks yesterday and as always I am so impressed with their vivid colours and sturdiness and over-all sockly beauty!
You know the last time I wore my brown stripey socks the UPS man peeked beneath my desk at work to take another look at them? (at least I think that’s what he was doing !?!?)
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for providing me with such wonderful things for my footsies and toesies… even though the *%$#ing weather in NJ is still a gazillion degrees :(

Hee hee, naughty UPS man!

hello,
i have just received my order today, and i must say, i am most impressed. not only did my order come in within literally 2 days, but the quality of the socks is soooo much more than i could have ever hoped for. they are amazing, they fit great, they look awesome, i know they’ll last me a long time, and on top of that, they were a very reasonable price, and the shipping was free! i even got a personal “thank you” written by an acutal human being. i can’t say enough great things about this company, you deserve all the compliments in the world.
it’s really great to know that you exist, especially in these times when thriving corporations and machines seem to be taking over the planet.
thank you so much, with all my heart.

Hi!
a little while ago I ordered 14 different pairs of socks from you guys (most of them at least 36″, a dream come true!) and after having had time to really test them out, I can say with confidence that I love each and every one of them!!
They were all extremely well described on the website, and having pictures of all the individual colors of every sock is priceless.
I never get anything short of outstanding customer service, and the prices are very reasonable!
Sock dreams is truly the best company I have ever dealt with by far and away.
Thanks!

Hello,
I was wondering what the purpose of the third sock was, in regard to the throx. What happens if you lose both socks?
Thanks,
Lindsey

Okay, that one made me laugh, is she serious?
I have to assume so and recommended buying two sets ~:)
If you’ve written us and we haven’t gotten back to you please be patient with us, if it’s been awhile you might want to resend the letter in case it didn’t get to us, we’re mostly caught up, but some things innevitably slip through the cracks…

Moms love them too!

Marled Mama feet
well, my mom does at least…
by happy coincidence, my mom was wearing her pair of O Marled in navy when she came to work yesterday (yes, she is now working with us, helping with sock folding & labeling~:) I couldn’t resist taking a picture of her wearing them (I’ve heard that it is thought most of us developed our love for feet & socks as very small children when feet were closer to eye level for us and the coming of feet meant we’d be picked up & loved or fed). My mom did indeed help inspire my love for socks, when I was growing up she would take me to places that had the coolest socks, it’s all a bit foggy for me now, but some of those socks we found are still in my collection & much loved even if I can no longer wear them. After dinner last night she went on to tell me that they are just about her favorite socks! I did not prompt her or ask her or lead her into that statement, she just truly loves them! She likes that she can pull them up over her knees when she goes outside in the cold and scrunch them back down when she gets back in. Me, I pretty much keep mine pulled up ~:)

The new black

not as black as the old black
no, I’m not talking about pink, or whatever the zines are saying it is this month.
These are the new black O Marled, no longer as black as they used to be…
but every bit as thick and comfy as before!
I’m really happy to have cool weather again so I can wear my favorite over the knee socks again. Still ribbed from the ankles to an inch or so over the knees with that funny top section that has no elastic and looks wider than the rest of the socks, especially when you pull them out of the dryer all fresh and clean. I had them made that way so that we could fold them over and have them still look nice underneath, no elastic to be seen, yet they still stay up, unless you run or jump around, then they may scoot down a bit, but a quick tug will put them back in their place. We are asking for more colors of the marled yarn because it is thick and soft and one of my personal fav’s. I also want to get a shorter version, like an ankle length…
Want, want, want, sooo many wants, so little time ~;)
For comparison’s sake, I’ve added a shot showing the old black over the newer, lighter, black…
New black on my feet, original black laying across...

Layers among the stacks

layers & stacks
Today I’m wearing the purple Skater Stripes with the brown Boy’s Socks over them…
I like the skater stripes because they are light & stay up really well plus I LOVE the color combos. Yesterday I was wearing the green ones, so pretty! I like the boy socks because they are so simple yet comfy. I had put so much energy into getting lots of long & thick styles the past couple of years that we didn’t have much in the way of simple anklets under our own label, but these are perfect and even better layered.
In the upper level of our house of socks we have three rooms, I am sitting in room 1 in this picture, it is where the half socks, bootie socks, anklets, midcalves & toesocks live and there is plenty of room for more stack & shelves which makes me very happy ~:) I will be even happier when we start catching up and I can get more stacks and shelves and get them filled. And filled they will be! so much coming, lots & lots of cute socks and more, so much more. I’m starting to adjust to the new arrangement and hope to actually get some socks added tomorrow…

Lazy Sundays & puppy toes

inspecting the socks
I didn’t realize how much a normal morning at home would mean to the dogs til I sat down with my coffee & the Sunday paper. I was going to come over and work in my office for awhile til I saw how happy they were to cuddle up with me. So I stayed til evening, now I’m only here to check orders and get a quick post in.
I’ve been wearing the plain but comfy Feelmax solid midcalf toes socks all day…
Lola gave them a good sniffing before giving them a little lick…
lick!
She’s a great sock inspector and I think she ought to be our official mascot.
Someone once begged me to give them a chance as our mascot, though I didn’t feel we needed one, I gave in, but it didn’t work out…
Lola is a natural and darn cute too!

Teaser…

they'll not make them any longer!
Recently Xilia asked our private supplier just how long they could make our longest socks, the same ones that are currently 100 & 200 inches. 300 inches was the answer and above is the result. They fit right up to the middle of Xilia’s thighs and were wrinkles & folds *all* the way down! She said they were totally comfy and will be wonderful when the temperatures drop in the coming months. I thought they looked adorable on her! We’re going to put in a small order for more, I’m sure there are at least a few of you that will be interested in having a pair for yourself or for your favorite legs. We are way behind in orders at the moment due to the move so I can’t be sure when we’ll have them, certainly by October. If you’re seriously interested in a pair let us know so we can order enough to cover our hardcore sock fetishists….

Catching up…

The latest and my new favs!
I’m not used to working away from home yet, but we are getting caught up. Most orders have gone out smoothly with only a couple of errors that were easily corrected. I have a ton of new stuff to get added in, but when we opened the newest box of Dream Stockings these little pretties caught my eye, they are stunning! I’m in love with them and had to add them right away. We only have a few pairs to start with because some of our best ideas don’t look as good in person when it comes to unusual stripey combos, but these were even better in person! so I put on a pair and Xilia snapped away. This weekend we’ll shoot more of the new styles and next week I should have several more added in. My gloves are the fancy fishnet gloves with those pesky fingertips cut off, I love ‘em like this! Fishnet is great for cutting because it doesn’t fray, if only my nerves were the same ~;)

My new favorites

After reading EG’s rave review on the sweater socks I had to get myself a pair, and I’m not disappointed! They fit and feel as nice as they look. They easily went over my knee, though I’m really fond of wearing them slouched below the knee. They definitely need garters to keep them where you want them (but look equally as cute fallen down around the ankle). The waffley texture is truly dreamy. They’re the kind of socks that make you want to rub your legs together just to feel the swish of the fabric against your skin. Loose socks are almost always too baggy on my feet, but these fit my feet great and the heels didn’t do much sliding around.

Thanks to EG for turning me on to these lovelies :)
