Free your feet!
The new Footless Fishnet Pantyhose are so nice! Not only do they actually stay down around your ankles comfortably (even those long of leg like myself), but they have amazing stretchability. When I got them, I took one look and thought, “What are these, kid’s fishnets?!?” Once I put them on, though, they went from ankles to waist and had no stretching difficulties around thighs or hips. The only downside I see to these is that the waistband has much less stretch than the fishnet itself, causing a dent as well as a smaller possible fit. These bothered my 29.5″ waist, so I’d recommend them for 28″ waists and below. However, if you REALLY love them and are fairly crafty, you may be able to attach a new, bigger waistband to them, or just snip the legs off and use sock garters to keep them up (teaser–be on the lookout for new garter styles soon!). I was excited to see these, and they were every bit as comfy as I expected them to be, freeing up your feet and toes for other socks, barefootedness, or sandals. I love that I don’t get that walking-on-fishnet feel with these. :)

I may be absent from the sock journal for another couple of days, depending on what kind of hit we get from Hurricane Rita. I hope that all of you and yours make it through safe and sound!

I wondered how the waist would fit, if only we could get socks & such that fit everyone fairly, easier said than done! Stay safe!!!

we made it through okay! my father and best friend both live in the direct path of rita. my father stayed and weathered the storm; he has many trees to pick up and is without power and running water, but didn’t get injured and the house survived alright. my best friend evacuated and we don’t yet know what happened to her house, although there’s a good chance that it’s not there anymore. :( i have power and internet service and am back from sleeping at work (for safety and to make sure i was there for my shifts). Thanks for your concern, everyone! and yes, these are the cutest fishnets!
