This weekend is the BIG move!
Each day more socks vanish into boxes stacked throughout the sockrooms.
Tomorrow after we pull the orders the rest will be boxed up…
Saturday movers will come help us haul it all over.
The timing could not be much better since this is a three day weekend which means we couldn’t ship orders out Monday of we wanted to. Hopefully, by the end of Monday we will know where everything is and have most of it organized and ready to go. It’s going to be so strange not working at home, it’s been such a luxury these past several years, but I’m ready for all that this move means. Our first additional employee since Xilia started last year will be joining us next week and we are adding more phone lines, we’ll even start taking phone calls like a “regular” business. We still won’t have a toll free number because we’ll still prefer people order online, in fact, we had a genius idea a couple of weeks ago because I really don’t want to start charging shipping, what if only orders placed online had free shipping? I think it’s a fine idea and will implement it right away, right after we get settled that is. So cross your toes and wish us luck, this is a really big step that is at least slightly overdue…

Yeah, the wishlist, it’s covered in the Frequently Asked Questions. Not to worry, Olivia and I have been keeping a list for awhile and she is getting right to work on the next phase as soon as we tie up all the loose ends from this one ~:)

Hee, when I was little my mom would always give us socks in out stockings. Last year she decided to revive that tradition, now I’m wondering if I can convince her to put one of these cards into my stocking.

yes, they are reusable til the amount is gone ~:) They won’t be active til maybe tomorrow, they still had a few issues and we don’t want to delay another day on this launch over one small issue.

One question… say someone buys you a $100 gift card and you get one code on the card. Would you be able to use that code over and over on different days till it gets to $100 dollars or is it gone when you use it once even if you didn’t spend that much?

yes to the sourpuss question, they are just like their other striped “thigh high” styles. Brigid has actually tried a pair and they fir her but were merely OTK as I suspected.
The gift cards will be set in $10 $25 $50 & $100 it just works out better for us at this time if they are set rather than any amount someone wants. In the begining they will have to be printed one by one, but we are working on getting the actual cards (that was the major hang up, we had the cards already, but they didn’t work with the system Olivia & Dan designed, though we thought they did at first). I still don’t quite know all the technical details out as my techie people are working that one out and I will be learning it all later…

Beautimous! : ) If only someone would send one to me…*sigh*. A few questions, though. 1) Can you set the amount for whatever you want? Or does it have to be 10, 25, etc? 2) Can you order actual gift cards, or are they all online? 3) This is rather off subject, but are the new sourpuss stars and stripes the same type of sock as the striped skull and crossbones socks?

Indeed I did mean to say we still prefer people on=rder online, it’s all fixed now. See how busy my brain is? three times this week I’ve lost things within moments of handling them, twice my keys were in my pocket and once I was holding the tape dispenser I was looking for ~%) crazy, I’m going crazy, but it’s lovely and I’m happy, but this house suddenly looks so empty…
