sour cherries

When I first ran across Sourpuss’ line of socks, I knew Niqkita had to have a look at them. A couple of months later, I had a pair of cherry knee highs in my sock dresser! :)

First, the good stuff: they fit my feet nicely and didn’t smother my toes, the snugness through the ankle and stay-up power is superb. Unfortunately, they also go a little less than opaque when stretched and I doubt they’d fit calves larger than 15″ in circumference. My biggest pet peeve, however, was that when I got them out of the package, my cherries were outlined in white instead of the lovely dark tan they use in their image. Scoundrels! I still love them, though, and the cherries that make up the pseudo backseams are just adorable. :)

I myself had a hard time photographing them, they have alot going on around them and yes, those cherries down the backs are snazzy!

I doubt I will be purchasing a pair - my calves are 14.5″ around. :(

I have big calves to and find that sometimes tight socks work out ok but just end up shorter on me. If I get the chance I will try these or another Sourpuss out and let you know how they fit my 16 inchers Alexandra.

i measured my calves after you said that, alexandra, and found that they’ve shrunk down to 13″! i really MUST get to working out!!! :S

I’ve found that anytime a sock has any sort of pattern to it the width is greatly reduced which is sad because it is so hard to get a good stretch out of most socks as it is ~:(

Oh, FOO. :( Oh well, I have SO much more to chose from anyway!! :)
