show your toe-toes!

As promised, toesocks that fit your feet and fashion needs! :)

The Stripy Toe Toe Knee Highs were the first toe-toe toesocks (whew!) that I’d tried, and I LOVE them!!! Not only are they supremely comfortable (after a couple of minutes, you literally feel like you’re not wearing any socks at all, but maybe lying in bed with your feet all tucked into supersoft sheets!), but the colors are gorgeous!

I’m wearing the Multi Reds and thinking of trying out their anklet style as well (aren’t those rainbow ones adorable???). Keep in mind that these will be more of a midcalf length on longer legs and larger feet, but they do fit my size 12s beautifully and hug each and every toe, including that elusive pinky. These even give each toe a little stripe of its own! ;)

Gotta go; have a great day, everyone!

Fuzzy!

Anyone ever have those days when it seems like EVERYTHING is covered in pet hair? Well, feel right at home wherever you go in the Fuzzy Wildcat Toes!

Soft, comfy, fuzzy and fun, these would be hilarious to wear with sandals. :D I haven’t tried it yet, but I have worn these with boots for a night out. They were comfy and only slipped down a little. One problem that I have with some toesocks is that my tiny curled pinky toe slips out of the “toes” of the sock. These were the same:

They fit my large feet due to their tube style, and made it up to a high-ankle length. These definitely won’t make it in my top-ten sock list, and the cheetah print that I tried is more like leopard (the actual leopard print, which is currently out of stock, looks very purty, too). Sorry, no glowing review on these guys, but they get a thumbs up on whimsy. ;)

Tomorrow I’ll show you some toesocks that fit like a dream!

and don’t forget

about the regular dreaM stripes! We all know by now that they’re nifty, pretty comfy, and fit those in the medium size range quite well. They’re featured today simply because I love this pic. :)

These are the dark and light grey stripes, an excellent combo! Sometimes I just love to be monochromatic, while other days I’m bursting at the seams with color. The dreaM Stockings give us so many ways to do both!

Branching out…

it's a dress and a garter!
Once upon a time I had 21 styles of socks ready to sell
Only one dozen of one or two colors of each
Then I got some more and added colors and stripes
I thought, hey, we should have some gloves, they’re like socks
Someone suggested we get leg warmers, then someone wanted tights
and I saw some lotions and I knew we needed sock garters
Garters! of course, we need lots of garters!!!
The super sexy, nice & stretchy Satin Retro Mini Dress with Garters
not only is it our latest garter, but it is our first dress-type-thing
no, I guess that was the petticoats, but this is different…
I love the idea of garters hanging from skirts, shorts or dresses
I just know someday we will have oodles, but I think this one is pretty hot for now
The stockings are a fairly recent “accidental” addition…
I meant to order these, but got these
You’ll probably want to wear something over the dress, it’s really more like a slip
Later we’ll sell you a t-shirt or two
who knows what we’ll get next…

Another variation…

Super Stripes just got longer!
Some of you asked for longer Super Stripes and we were only too happy to oblige, …assuming our sock makers were willing & able.
As is usually the case, we could get them longer, but not wider, so we decided not to go too long and settled at nearly 50 inches from the tips of the toes to the tops of the thighs. When these are on they easily go 30 inches up the legs and will fit best on thighs 21 inches around and under. Like our other cotton stripes they are loose around the feet & ankles. Until we hear raving reviews from you begging us to bring in more colors we’re going to stick with just two: Black & White and Black & Grey….

You want what?

Will you marry me?? LOL.
Nice site you gots here you look so sexy in your socks.
I think they look real nice. Can i get to know yah?

Yes, I really get emails like these. I’ve changed their email addresses because I’m guessing they wouldn’t really like me to post them publicly. Do these guys really think this is the way to get to know a girl? Do they realize I’m married and nearly 40? well, not that near, but well over 30. Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered, but that second one, it barely even makes sense. Ohwell, just felt like sharing…

HA! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

whew. Ok, so most of you don’t know what that’s all about, but the reason that I haven’t posted too often lately is that EVERY time I go to post, whatever it was that I was going to feature is SOLD OUT! lol. I mean, really. It’s uncanny. I think it usually sells out like, that day, too. heh. ANYWAY,

Flat Knit Knee Highs! I got the ones in fern, since they almost perfectly match this scrumptiously soft shirt that I have. Not to disappoint, the flat knits were very soft, like your fave tee, but a little thicker and stretchier. I even got them a tad onto my knees, so these are definitely a knee-high on us tall ladies and gents, AND when I pulled them on, I had spare room in the feet! Mind you, they easily snapped back to hug my feet just fine, but larger feet than my size 12s will fit in there! These were just slightly less than opaque, so tattoos may show through, at least for the lighter colors (and darker tattoos). These are a nice, vibrant, comfy alternative to the traditional knit knee-high.

“You’re a GIRLY Girl”

Paul (one of the ex-loves of my life) said that to me one day. I tilted my half shaved head, looked down at my trashed combat boots and my torn fishnets… I had no idea what he meant. I asked a few friends of mine if they thought this same thing of me. They all agreed with Paul. Apparently it is not necessarily what you wear, but how you wear it and who you are. And apparently I am destined to be a “girly girl” for all times. Now that I have grown into my girliness… I celebrate it. There is no fear in my now fuchsia streaked hair, or the bows, braids and baby barettes when I pigtail it all up… I show off my shocking pink bedroom with pride … and have found I really have a thing for bows on my socks.

Nice big RED BOWS!

Yay for Girliness!!

These Opaque Thigh Hi’s with bows really surprised me. I thought they would be too short for my ample and long legs… I was wrong. They fit me like a dream. They are not thigh high on me, but definitely make it to a comfy over the knee (and I’m talking a few inches over the knee, not just barely making it to the top of the knee). They stayed up slightly lower than they started (they rolled down in a round roll thingy to just above me knee) for the for the entire night I wore them to my fav German bier pub. The gorgeous hot red satin bows are so perfect that I kept hiking up my long skirt to show em off (“hey … did you see my bows yet?” yea… I really did that, those beers and these bows are just that good).
The only thing that is not absolutely perfect about these is that they are more stocking like than sock like, and although they are pretty tough and didn’t get any runs, they get those little pull things that make little black lines in them. So wear them with some care to avoid that.

I can’t wait to wear these in fall too… I think they’ll look great with knee high boots and layers!

How do YOU where your petticoats?

what do you put on first?

Hi!
I have somewhat of an odd request for an upcoming Sock Journal entry.
I’ve been admiring all of the petticoats you have available and would love to have one–they just seem so fun; however, I consider myself a bit fashion challenged and have no idea how I would wear one. I mean, I know they traditionally go under skirts, but in my mind–with the skirts or dresses I own–I’m envisioning some odd-looking shapes.
Could you possibly put out a request for some of your customers to submit photos of how they wear their petticoats? I always love to get fashion ideas!
Thanks so much for considering my request and for all of the wonderful products you offer!!

fading from ipnk to black & back again, dreaming of new ways to wear petticoats
That is a great idea! I personally usually just wear my petticoats with socks, in this case the super sexy, durable & unique Miss Dater knee highs.
Seriously though, I think they look great worn as the skirt, yes, that means wearing something under them like tights or leggings, unless you are an exhibitionist ~;)
Xilia wears hers with jeans & pants which works really well.
So, fellow sock fiends, how do you wear yours?
tell us by clicking on Sock Thoughts…
or mail an image directly to me and I just might add your image to this post!

Happy synchronicity…
one of my longest known & dearest friends just sent me a pic of herself in her petticoat. When I told her it was today’s theme she modified it for us to use here! Thanks Tina!!!
Swing it baby!

Rebeckah’s petticoat…
Thanks Rebeckah!!!
I had to pull the petticoat down a ways so the lace would show.
& Yep, I’m wearing the vertical striped thigh highs. :)
Thanks ~Rebeckah

What I really wore today…

capris under cut off jeans
A few weeks back when I first introduced the black mesh capris I said I would show you how they looked with cut offs. But if you know me you might know I have a bad tendency to procrastinate. So here I am, in my capris, under my fav pair of cut offs with our newest happy mistakes, a hybrid of the Green knees and the Super Stripes.
Super Stripes, the knee high version
I love the length, they have black ribbed cuffs and the army green stripes are perfect (I’m loving this color even more than I already did).
They stayed up pretty well, but if I could just have one dream come true right now, it would be for the wonderful addition of enough spandex to keep the ankles and feet from getting baggy and sagging. I have great hope here though, we’re making progress with some other styles we are working on, so I’m keeping my toes crossed. In the meantime, if you love loose comfy stripes, these are yet another great choice….
She looked them over, gave them a good sniffing then they got the lick of approval.
They got Sock Inspector Lola’s approval V..V ‘
