People occasionally ask us if we carry men’s socks.
Yup, this one is covered on the FAQ page, but people like to ask anyway.
And while I have long fought the idea that men need special socks to feel manly Xilia and I worked out a plan to have our unique & comfy Ink LiNed knee highs made into a shorter length and market them for men/guys. But men’s socks & guy’s socks didn’t sound right so we settled on Boysocks or Boy’s Socks. Actually, I wanted to call them something else entirely, but hey, I can’t make all the decisions all the time so Boy’s Socks they are! and who better to test them out and model them but our very own Bsti, head of our shipping department and man of my house & heart ~:)
We’d planned to feature them yesterday so he put on a pair and I loaded up my walking bag with the rest of the colors, got the dogs and headed for the river. It was a beautiful day and the sand along the shore had a special perfection from being rained on, the lighting was just right from the cloudy sky, we found a spot I liked, looked around and there it was, a wall of rain headed straight at us. We ducked under some trees for cover and planned to wait it out, but the rain just kept coming. For nearly 20 minutes it poured, all four of us were nearly drenched by the time it stopped. The ground was soaked and without a little sunshine there was no hope for anything getting dry enough for the shots I envisioned. Such is life in Portland Oregon, so we headed home and rethought our shoot.

Bsti thought I wouldn’t like the idea of toys in the shots so he was hesitant to suggest it to me, but I thought it was perfect, I also liked having his computer in the background and even liked the way beer bottles in the background looked. It just wouldn’t be right to try and sell you socks for guys if all the pictures were of female feet! though I do like them too!

We have them in three sizes, the smalls fit little feet nicely (down to a women’s 6, maybe 5 which should be a men’s 4 or 5 because not all men have large feet you know), the medium fit me well at about a 8.5/9 so men’s 7-9 should like these. The large fit Bsti perfectly at a men’s 9.5 and would surely stretch up to at least a 10 and probably an 11, should we go bigger? We are planning to add blue and black next…
